Today we get to see Yona Bear as she showcases a lot of her skills put together. We also see a little bit of a hiccup when she’s given the command to drop(lay down). We wanted everyone to know that all of the videos in this series were filmed in one shot with no do overs - all in about 15 mins. We thought Yona did extremely well considering she’s only 4 months old.

This is the last installment in our mini series, but we will have more to come as Yona gets older.
Yona is being trained by my father - David Barnes.
He bred and trained labs 25+ years ago, and called it quits for a while to focus more on my sister and me. Now that he’s retired, he decided to give it another go - and he says that Yona is ahead of any lab he trained previously. He does ~20min long training sessions twice a day with Yona right now. Increasing the time spent as she gets older. We can’t wait to see what is to come.

Today, we get to see Yona work on her long distance fetching. Currently she is fetching around 20-25 yards, and working up to further distances every day.

Today, we get to see the beginning of switch retrieving lessons. Yona shows her ability to collect 2 dummies thrown to the left and right of her, as well as 1 dummy thrown behind her.

Today, Yona Bear showcases her ability to heel on and off the leash, as well as her obedience with Sit, Stay, and Come.

We have something very exciting to show everyone! This is Yona Bear. She is the puppy that was kept here on the farm from the recent litter. She is 4 months old and is in boot camp. Her training started when she was just 9 weeks old. This week, starting tomorrow, we are going to be releasing a series showing what Yona has learned so far. We think you’ll be amazed at what she can do at such a young age - We know we are!
