We are family owned, veterinarian owned aviary and we specialize in raising and breeding Exhibition (English) Budgerigars / Parakeets, and we do it the best way, the ethical way, with loads and loads of love and commitment. My boy Avon did it again by ranking Top 5th Novice bird. It was a much better outcome than I had anticipated.

There were 46 Novice entries amongst 6 Exhibitors at the (BAA) Budgerigar Association of America Grand National Show of 2024. The competition was tough! That hasn't stopped Avon from getting another ribbon under his wing.

It's been a great first year of showing.

First episode features discussion on the type of substrate to choose for nestlings and their natural tendency to congregate as a unit. Young birds demonstrate very different behaviours from their older counterparts, and the rules we're familiar with in older birds don't always apply to the little ones.
