Our kidding season has wrapped up so here's a rundown of our results for 2025:
Out of six does we got 12 kids total
7 bucklings (1 DOA), 5 doelings

All 5 mini Nubian kids were bucks 🥲 (4 polled, 3 moonspotted, 2 blue eyed)
Major gave us 4 does 💕 (2 silvers)
Cloud gave us 2 bucks and 1 doe ☺️ (2 silver, all polled, all moonspotted, no blue eyes)

Around 6:30 this morning Beretta kidded but it didn't go well. Kid presented one leg forward and nose down, took over 15...

Around 6:30 this morning Beretta kidded but it didn't go well. Kid presented one leg forward and nose down, took over 15 minutes to figure out which way the nose was pointed. Eventually got the head into position and she pushed it out enough for me to pull the kid.

Unfortunately it was a stillborn buckling, (explains why he wasn't postitioned right) glassy eyes already so he appears to have passed sometime yesterday. Did not see anything wrong with the kid. Perfect little black and white boy with a big moonspot on his face, he was polled as well.
2.9 Lbs so good size.
Placenta was fully passed right when the kid came out so my best guess is that it detached before she went into full labor this morning.
Sad end to our kidding season but on the bright side Beretta seems to be doing well, she got pain meds, Vitamin b and an antibiotic. Lots of snacks and TLC for her today.
