The Objective of this group is to network and share these Rural Pound Dogs so they can find a forever home and save them from an inevitable death. 2024 is fixing to come to an end.
If you haven't already. Please make sure your pets are secure.
You and I both know that the likelihood of Firework going off this evening is very likely. Plan ahead rather than regretting it tomorrow~

With that said...

Fairwell 2024~

We close out the year with a LOT of Thank YOUS!

This year we have been so very blessed by so MANY people from near and from far!

Whether you helped FOSTER or ADOPT, if you helped NETWORK or SPONSORED, if you are a RESCUE or TRANSPORTER, a VOLUNTEER or CITY EMPLOYEE who dedicated your days to helping the animals we too work towards helping. Our wonder VETERINARIANS or VET HELPERS! If a DONATER or WELL WISHER... We THANK YOU! We could not save the lives we saved or tried to save this year without each of you.

2024 we dedicated our time to aiding in the Rescue of 369 Dogs and Cats.

The overall number is far higher if you add in the owner spay/neuters we helped with, vet coverage, transports, strays we helped get home that weren't added to the list, etc. But our main count... Those who were fully booked in and stayed more than a couple of days is THREE HUNDRED * SIXTY NINE!

For the struggles we have had this year.... I am very proud of this number... Fosters were at a low, donations scarce at times, vet bills high, stress high, adoptions low and slow, shelter intake is beyond high, pregnant dogs, **SIGH**, and emergency cases were extreme cases far to often.... But we time and time again saw people step up, sponsor, donate, tag, share. say a whole lot of prayers, and there was never a moment that we didn't know that someone out there cared... For that it was a blessed and happy year...
In 2024 we increased our community outreach to include free microchipping for owned dogs and donation of chips to the Kermit shelter.. We successfully chipped over FIVE HUNDRED dogs and cats since MARCH of 2024!

We also held several spay neuter events for local pets to receive low cost spay/neuters and vaccination and also had the Namaste Day event where we were able to provide 64 pets with spay/neuters at zero cost thanks to a grant from the Jason Debus Heigel Foundation. In conjunction to the local events, we also transported dozens of other dogs/cats with us to Colorado city on our vet days so that they could also receive vet care whether they were city shelter dogs/cats or owned pets. Prevention is far easier than trying to clean up a disaster after it happens!!!

May 2025 be as much if not MORE of a success.
Successful adoptions High!
Transports go off without a hitch!
Rescue partners near and far be less stressed and fortunate!
Donation be steady and Vet bill be low!
And may every dog or cat in need be blessed!~
