I have seen so many posts lately about both humans and our precious fur-kids being snake bitten. Our fur-kids cannot tell us what is going on so we need to take a bite very serious and get emergency help asap. There are no home remedies to remediate venomous snake bites.
Antivenom is expensive and I am told the shelf life is short, this not many vets keep it in stock. Below is a link to enter your zip code and it will pull up the names of vets/animal hospitals in your area that stock the needed medication. Better safe than sorry. If a bite happens you need to know where to go quickly and I would definitely call ahead and let them know you are in route and an ETA so they will be ready for you.
