Apollo is settling in nicely and even made a friend. That toy has seen better days but the dogs all seem to love it. He has a long way to go until his sores heal on his legs and feet and he puts some weight on but he will get there. Yesterday he received his vaccination, dewormed and started on meds for an ear infection. He will be meeting his possible new family tomorrow but will be with us until his health improves and he heals from his neuter surgery the end of February.

This handsome boy is Apollo and came to us yesterday. He was abandoned at a boarding facility. Apollo will need some TLC. He is on the thin side and has healing sores on his feet and legs. We are going to be feeding him a higher fat content food which we added to our Amazon wishlist. He is about 3 years old, very friendly and does good with other dogs. Once he is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations and we get him a little more healthy, he will be available for adoption.

Many different animals have come to us. Some have become a permanent part of our sanctuary where they can be safe and happy. Others stay with us until the time comes that we can find them a new family.
We have more extremely cold weather coming. We have been trying to build our funds to help buy extra hay and straw, help with high utility bills and medical bills. There is also a donation box set up outside side the fence at our drop off location at 9638 Lake Bernice Dr in Kewaskum. We also recycle aluminum cans because every single dollar matters. We fight for the animals every day but we couldn't do it without the help of our friends that support what we do.

Meet Zeus. He's a new face in our rescue and will be ready to start looking for his new home after he is healed up from his neuter surgery. Zeus is 4 years old, loves to play with his toys, very active and friendly. He did just get neutered today so once he heals up a bit and we can take his cone off, we will get a few more pictures. This picture was before his surgery.

Our sanctuary horse Poco waiting for her breakfast this past weekend on those very cold mornings. We have had a early start this winter with the single digit temperatures and are still in need of extra straw for bedding so the sanctuary farm animals will be kept warm and dry this winter.

We are extending our K9 Christmas Program until the end of the year. We are asking for items we use everyday to care for the animals. Some examples of things that are needed is laundry detergent, dog treats, funds for hay, straw and medical bills, unused pet medications, etc. We have a Amazon wishlist. The link is
