Theodore turned out quite adorable!! ❤️ He is a sweet little guy!

Jeff is making progress guys!! He is starting to grow hair on his legs (I call it his pants 🤣), his skin is so much better, and his pigment is back. Although he is taking a little bit longer than his brother Mutt (who is up for adoption by the way 😉), he is looking good! This just shows that every dog is an individual and will heal at their proper time. 🥰

Trimming nails is a tricky thing. We have to be trained to know how much to trim and when to stop.

Your pet’s nails consist of the nail and a nerve called the quick. When a dog is “quicked”, that means that the nails have been clipped too short and has cut into that nerve. Often times it bleeds and it can be very painful to the pet.

We want your pet to enjoy the grooming process. This includes getting the nails as short as safely possible. Because every pet’s quick length is different, we tailor our nail trimming to each Individual pet.

Please let us know if you have any questions! Enjoy a little groomer humor 🤣

And before you ask ... YES! We trim your dog's nails EVERY TIME!

Guys! I cannot even explain how excited I am about Mutt’s progress!! Even in just a week between therapy sessions, he has made tremendous progress! ❤️❤️ I am still working with Jeff and changing some of his therapies to find what will work for him. Keep your fingers crossed. 😁 the first picture is on 11/30/22 and the second is 12/6/22

This is Jeff’s journey so far. He has started to get a little more hairs on his body. I say hairs because they are tiny and cute lol. He has also gained some good weight. ❤️

So I am 5 therapy sessions in with Mutt. I can already see an amazing difference! His skin has gone from being dry, crusty, bleeding, and smelly to smooth, hydrated, and healing. His coat is also less brittle and more vibrant. He has also gained some good weight. I can’t wait to see more progress!

This is Mutt and Jeff. They are two pups who are getting nursed back to health at Pearl’s Place in Temple. I am grateful to Lisa for allowing me to complete skin therapy sessions on them using Iv San Bernard products. We’re hoping to restore their coats! Both boys are SUPER sweet and making progress with their grooming manners. 😍 I can’t wait to see them grow!

Good morning Pawlished Paws LLC fans,

I have some exciting news! Scheduling for next year is open! 🥳🥳

We typically book up VERY VERY quickly and about 2 months in advance. Here are some suggestions.

1. Book all the appointments you can AHEAD OF TIME. It is easier to have an appointment in the books than it is to squeeze you in. 🥲 Our calendar allows for the booking of at least 6-8 months out.

2. Need an appointment sooner than what we have available? BOOK WHAT WE DO HAVE that way you have a guaranteed appointment. Then, we can put you on a waitlist. If someone cancels, we can give you a call! ☺️

3. Not sure how often to book? We recommend every 4-6 weeks. This is within your pet's skin cycle time frame and will aide in de-shedding and smells. 😳🤣

Let us know if you have any questions! The best way to reach us is to call/text 254-781-5385

So I haven’t posted in a while. However! I am needing y’all’s help. I am at a creative block with Georgette. So, that’s where y’all come in! Tell me which creative groom I should do with her next. I will say that the yellow and purple designs will take a little longer because I have to grow out her hair.

The picture with the most likes by the end of the month is what I’ll do!!

Here at Pawlished Paws LLC, we are always looking for ways to further our education and better our grooming skills. We are excited to be attending the World Groom XI event over the next couple of days! We are eager to apply what we learn. 😄

Plans for today.

I am going out to check on the other three dogs, vaccinate and deworm them.

I need a rescue or foster for these dogs or I’ll have to leave them. Absolutely not what I want to do.

These 7 dogs didn’t ask to be left to starve. Nor can we keep going at this rate.

Please someone step up and help these dogs.

Good evening Pawlished Paws Fans! I haven’t posted in a while, and for that I apologize! I am taking the time to post today about something that is important to me.

Many of my clients have heard me recommend the Gentle Leader. This tool can be used for all dogs, but they especially work for dogs who pull when on the leash. I was introduced to the Gentle Leader about 10 years ago when I bought them for my two 60 pound dogs who would pull my arms out of socket on walks.

With some training and patience, I was able to enjoy walks with my pups. I now use them for ALL of my personal pets as well as use them in the grooming van to keep pets safe. I would never recommend anything that I haven’t tried myself, so that’s why I constantly mention them to you guys.

Similar to a halter for a horse, (see the last picture of my old horse Primrose and my adorable hubby 🥰☺️), the Gentle Leader gives you control of your pet’s head. It is a safe and effective tool when used properly and with consistent, patient training. There are many variations of this tool, I just specifically use the Gentle Leader brand. As with all tools, it may not work for some pets. However, if you are trying a new tool, give it time to be effective and be consistent! 🙂

Shout out to Gabby Sue, Bella Rose and their sister Remi (not pictured). If you have pictures of your pet with a Gentle Leader, or something similar, post them in the comments!

If you have any questions, please let me know!
