Did you know that Mary's Cakery and Candy Kitchen makes cookie trays? The crew just finished a custom order for 12 cookie trays with 2 dozen cookies each. Cookie trays make great hostess gifts, office parties, gifts, and a festive way to celebrate the holiday season. Come in and place your orders.

Does anyone recognize this sweet senior? Someone dumped her in our outdoor meet and greet kennels and left her on Saturday.

She is now at Spotsylvania animal shelter on a 10 day stray hold, who is overflowing at max capacity and doubling up dogs in kennels. The shelter is no space for a senior, who they estimate to be 8 years or older based on the tartar on her teeth.

We want to remind everyone that there are options to help keeping your pup. We would love to offer behavioral advice. There are several pet pantries within the community for various supplies. There are organizations that offer temporary fostering.

VA Code § 3.2-6504 states abandonment of a dog is a Class 1 misdemeanor, punishable by fines, jail time, and prohibitions on future pet ownership.

We have KITTENS!! We are currently accepting applications on our kittens! There are 3 girls and 1 boy. We require you to adopt in pairs, unless you have a young, active cat already in the home. Kittens do best with a friend!

Our itty bitty kitty welcoming committee would like you to know we have 35+ kittens available right NOW, with even more coming tomorrow! We can't keep up with their online profile photos, so we suggest stopping in from 12-6 pm to meet them! If Crooks looks a bit sad it's because he's been promoted often yet received no adoption interest despite his adorableness. Crooks may weigh 50 pounds, but he's built like a Chihuahua, tiny as can be and super low to the ground. Crooks has the most adorable kinked tail and laid back personality. He's great with other dogs, though does not need a playmate so much as a cuddle partner. We believe he is around 5 years of age and he's crate and house trained.
