Just one week in our care and this sweet girl has already put on noticeable weight. 🐴
Her body is beginning to heal — and that’s because she’s finally safe, getting consistent meals, and receiving the care she desperately needed.

Right now, we’ve been calling her “Red”, but she still needs a name of her own — one that represents a fresh start, strength, and the life she deserves.

✨ Exciting Update # 2! ✨

Running a rescue is absolutely exhausting — mentally, physically, and emotionally. And when you add wild mustangs and burros into the mix, everything gets ten times harder. If you ask any wild horse rescue what their biggest struggle is, most will say the same thing every time: time and resources to train.

And I’m no exception.

For the last two years I haven’t had the time I needed to put into training, and honestly, it’s been overwhelming. Training is such a huge part of what keeps these animals adoptable, safe, healthy, and confident… and not having the ability to give them that fully has weighed on me more than you know.

But today — for once — this update isn’t heavy.

It’s hopeful.
It’s BIG.
It’s forward momentum.

I am SO excited to officially announce that we are partnering with K-1 Performance Equine Services 🤍

This is a massive step for both of us, and they are going to play a key role in our rescue → rehabilitate → rehome system. With their help, we will finally be able to get horses and burros into training consistently and give them the time and attention they need to succeed.

And the biggest news?

Because of this new partnership starting January 1st, 2026 — we will be able to say YES to wild equines in need again.

I can’t tell you how much relief and excitement that brings me. This partnership means growth, progress, and more lives saved.

Thank you to everyone who’s stuck with us through the hard seasons — this next chapter is going to be incredible. ❤️

🌴 Welcoming one of K-1’s guest! ✨

We've had him here for a month already but I figured he needed an introduction 😊

K-1 has a very special gentleman staying with us—an incredible 20+ year old Paso Fino stallion who’s here for horse-sitting and boarding while his owner enjoys a beautiful getaway in Puerto Rico. 🇵🇷🐎

He may be seasoned, but he walks in with all the presence, pride, and smooth elegance that Paso Finos are known for. He’s already settling in, getting spoiled, and stealing hearts one soft nicker at a time.

We love giving our guests a safe, calm, and comfortable place to relax—whether it’s for a weekend, a month, or more.
Here’s to his little vacation with us while his owner enjoys theirs! 💛

(Fun fact: we broke and trained his offspring Pink!)

He comes with 90 days of professional training with K-1 Performance Equine Services, lunges both ways, saddles with ease, ground drives no problem, rides soft and supple, handles new places with confidence, his Smooth W/T/L, starting to really know his cues, and stays focused on his rider!

He has been desensitized, wonderful ground manners, and is a BLAST to ride.

Loads, ties, bathes, and stands nicely for the farrier

Boone is ready to be someone’s steady partner and continue his education and training!
