Babies! I am so happy to have them again! Platinum's litter is already HUGE and they aren't even 2 weeks old yet 😅 here are what I have coming up in the next month or so!

Nothing due yet but working on breeding my white doe Lab Rat to a friend's seal buck, Hood Rat. Breeding the rats to each other 😂👌 this will also determine if Lab Rat is genetically an otter or a self color under all that white :) I'm hoping for lots of sables and not a lot (ideally none) of martens since martens aren't showable in Rex 😅

I will also be re-breeding BC's Georgia on my Mind to BC's Bobble Head since the first breeding didn't take

Also, we have another litter of 6 that we're born today! TMR's Criminal Intent and West's Organized Rebel welcomed these sweet little beans making this both of their first litters! I forgot to take a picture but here's a picture of my dog ignoring me this morning instead 🤣👌as much as Olive loves the cold and snow, she was too comfy to get out of bed lol

We did lose one of Eden and Deja's babies today so with that 1 loss and the addition of these 6, this brings our current baby total to 34! And there's more on the way! Come spring I will be having a HUGE herd reduction sale and plenty of buns destined for the cull truck/freezer 😅👌

HMR's Chips Ahoy and RC's Judgement Day had a litter of 8 last night. Unfortunately, first time momma, Chip, just didn't quite understand what to do and just like her own momma, didn't get the babies fed. When I found them they were cold and barely moving. 4 were found frozen and unmoving. All 8 went into the over to come up to temperature. Was able to revive one of the 4 frozen babies. One of the living ones did have to be put down because momma accidentally stepped on it and tore up its skin pretty bad. So we ended up with 4 total living babies. Couldn't get them to eat from their momma so I ended up fostering them to 2 of my other mommas. So far they are still alive and I am hoping they continue to pull through.

There is a solid chocolate agouti, a broken black, a broken blue, and a broken lilac from what I can tell so far. Chip will be rebred soon to give her another chance at getting the mom thing right ❤️

My ultimate goal is to get a broken chocolate from this doe as a tribute to her momma, Cocoa Puff, who was my absolute favorite doe. Cocoa Puff was culled for not taking care of her babies but I miss her so much. I wish she had been a better momma but with each litter she got worse.

RC's Judgement Day and West's Fortune Cookie welcomed 6 perfect little babies today! Cookie is NOT happy with me messing with them but I was able to count and check colors. 4 brokens and 2 solids. One of the solids is a chocolate chestnut like momma the other is a black of some sort (self or steel to be determined). There are 3 broken chocolate and one broken black (self, agouti, or steel to be determined). I am so in love with these babies already ❤️

Platinum had 6 perfect little babies this morning 🥰❤️ pretty sure we have one smoke pearl, one smoke pearl marten, and 4 blue otters but we'll get a better idea once they get more fur in. Daddy is HMR's Paper Plane which makes these full siblings to my National Convention BOV Smoke Pearl doe, Satin! Hoping they're all just as pretty as their big sister 🥰❤️ pictures will come eventually, I just didn't have my phone when I went out to check. Here's a picture from Monday night instead!

In other news, I'm gonna be downsizing by quite a bit! I have 36 rabbits to evaluate and decide on. I'm cutting back a ton on my mini lops and Rex and putting most of my energy and time toward the mini rex. I will still have a little herd of mini lops that I'm breeding toward the orange/tort varieties with. I will primarily be breeding my rex for meat and pelt and not as much for show but if I have a spectacular one, I'll definitely throw it on the show table :) so keep an eye out for some brood/show worthy bunnies being placed up for sale soon!

Never posted on here but Convention 2024 was a huge success! HMR's Silver Satin brought home Best Of Variety for Smoke Pearl Mini Rex as a 4 month old at her first show experience 🥰 I'm beyond proud of her. Lots of other placings that I'm happy with but this one just absolutely surprised me! Can't wait to take her with me to the Christmas show next month! Hopefully she stays within weight 😅 she's a big girl lol

Family Pride's Raspberry Rum and Fuzzy Mayhem's Cave Cricket welcomed five perfect little angels this morning! 🥰 Raspberry is one of my new boys and this is his first litter! He is a Sable. And a fun surprise, found out that Cricket is a white carrier! (I knew Raspberry was because his sire is a white)

Colors are two whites, a blue, a black, and a "to be determined".

Been way too long since I've had a litter... okay it's been two months but still 🤣 that's two months too long without cute lil beans to play with!

Got one more momma due tomorrow and this will be her second litter but hopefully her first successful litter as her two babies from her first both didn't make it. And the buck she's bred to is also a first time daddy!

Sad news. FP's Blackberry Brandi, one of my newest mini rex herd bucks, passed away today. I found him while feeding. He was stuck upside down on his back kinda wedged up against his water bowl. I thought he was dead when I found him but he was still just barely alive. However, he couldn't move any part of his body but his eyes/nose. I believe he broke his neck or back. I wrapped him up and left him in the house while I finished chores. After that, I took him back outside to put him down but as I was setting up the pole for dispatch, he passed on his own 💔😞 I have only had him for barely a month and wasn't even able to get a litter from him. I don't even have a picture of him to post. Rest easy sweet boy 🩷

Watched Biscuit have her babies! Always such an amazing experience ❤️❤️ she had 6 total! Will post the baby pic separate since for some reason Facebook doesn't let me post videos and pics at the same time on this page 🙄😒🤦🏼‍♀️

GG blessed us with 8 beautiful little babies this morning. However, she had them in a pile of hay outside her nest box and when I found them, they were all cold and unmoving. I brought them in and warmed them and ALL EIGHT BABIES are now alive and moving. She has not fed them yet so all the babies are wrinkly and have empty bellies. I'm trying to get them to suckle but it's proving difficult. GG has absolutely no interest whatsoever in being a mother so as soon as my other doe and my friends doe have their babies (due tomorrow), we will be fosting GG's whole litter, as long as we can get them through til then. Wish me luck and send some prayers that all eight babies pull through!

Pebble had her babies! I got to watch her do her thing 🥰❤️🥹 such a special moment. She has 6 perfect little babies as a first time momma. 3 solids and 3 brokens 🥰🥰🥰 I love them all so much! Will definitely be keeping an eye on them because it's a larger litter for her being a first timer. I want to make sure she can handle that many ❤️ PC's Fruity Pebbles x Trianna's Chillin Like A Villain Baby names TBD, I have to get on my computer 🥰

Well, Baby's babies are doing very well! We did lose one of the fosters from Flo's litter but it was the tiniest of the litter and I didn't have high hopes for the little guy. But the other 2 fosters are thriving with their three older foster siblings and Baby is making very sure everyone is full fed. We still have very big milk bellies on everyone and I think Fresh (the broken dilute) is finally starting to share the milk bar 🤣🤣👍 I can't wait for these cuties to start opening their eyes but I also promised they would move back outside once eyes are open so I'm hoping they take their time too 🥺🥹 I just love stealing one for a quick snuggle throughout the day 😩❤️ they sure are a jumpy bunch 🤣🤣 Puppy Chow is the most active and jumpy of the bunch. He/she is gonna be quite the handful 🤣🤣❤️ watch til the end to see Puppy Chow attempt to live up to their name lol

On a lighter note, I checked on Baby's litter and boy is momma taking her job very seriously 🤣🤣 these babies will definitely not be going hungry any time soon lol she also have several bald spots because despite being in the house, she needed to make absolutely sure her babies were thoroughly covered with fur to stay nice and toasty 🤣🤣🤣
