Bridge Home Animal Rescue is offering spay/neuter services for just $10 thanks to a grant from the state of Tennessee! This program is designed to help pet owners in need, ensuring that more animals receive the care they deserve.

What’s Covered?
✅ Anesthesia & Surgery
✅ Pre-op Pain & Antibiotic Injections
✅ Suture Removal

What’s NOT Covered?
✅ Required Vaccines for Procedure
✅ Anything else required by Veterinarian to perform Spay/Neuter
✅ Colony, Rescue or Foster Cats/Dogs, pets must be owned

Eligibility Requirements:
📌 Owners must show proof of need (Social Security, Disability, Food Stamps, etc.).
📌 Pets must be vaccinated for rabies and parvo/distemper before surgery.

As we work on our space, we are also working on important decisions. And we’ve made our biggest decision…As long as the policy is not abused, we will not have a minimum age requirement. HOWEVER, these rules will help us manage this policy:

—Children age 9 and under may only do 30-minute sessions ($6) and must do a quick “cat tolerance” test to make sure they understand how to respect the kitties before they can enjoy the lounge.
—Children 12 and under must have an adult in the lounge.
—For children under 6, there must be one adult PER CHILD to provide direct supervision of that child the entire time they are in the lounge.
—No more than three children total under the age of 6 may be in the lounge at any time unless the party has rented the entire lounge or event room.

We also plan to have some adults only (18+) hours on select days and times. We’d love to hear your thoughts on when those weekly adults only times should be, please!

EVERYONE—regardless of their age—will be asked to leave if they do not follow lounge rules. We are creating a relaxing, safe environment. So running, yelling, roughhousing with the cats, or otherwise disrupting the cats or other customers etc. will NOT be allowed. This is a zero tolerance policy.

We know that not everyone will agree with our decision. But we put a lot of thought into it, and this is the best compromise we could think of, taking all the comments we received into consideration. But the ONLY way this works is if adults are responsible for their children. If our policy is abused, then we will have no choice but to make changes in the future. So, PLEASE don’t be the reason we have to do that!

Working hard each day to make progress towards opening. One of our favorite projects is our Pet Blessing Box, which will be located just outside our gates. Our community will have 24/7 access to take much needed pet supplies and leave what they can for others. Charlie built this gorgeous base, and we can’t wait to see what .art does to make it even more beautiful. ❤️ Follow us for updates on when it’s installed and ready to help our local pets! 😻

NOW HIRING!

Since announcing we were opening a cat cafe, we’ve been overwhelmed by questions about job opportunities. We hope to do well enough to need lots of employees, but the reality of opening a small business is that we will be limited to just 2-3 part-time employees in the beginning. And please understand we are NOT hiring people to play with the cats all day. Our lounge guests will give them plenty of attention. We need people who will help us provide an amazing experience for those guests, take care of the cats’ less fun needs (like cleaning litter boxes), and grow our business and social media presence so we can keep getting kitties adopted for a long time into the future.

We will accept applications until February 28 and interview during the first week of March, with training to start the following week. $11/hour plus potential for performance-based incentives.

P.S. - Just a reminder that we also need volunteers to help care for the kitties, match them with potential adopters, and supervise the lounge. Volunteering doesn’t require a significant time commitment or specific schedule, but we do require five hours of volunteering with one of our shelter or rescue partners before volunteering at the cafe.

😻 DID YA KNOW ⁉️

DRR has several cats available that are looking for jobs! I know...seems odd that we have cats that want to work. 😂

Some cats just have no desire to live in a home and definitely don't like to people. Generally these cats are TNR'd...Trap, Neuter, Return. That means after they are altered and vaccinated, they go right back to their home. We have a handful of cats in our care that for various reasons, it was not safe for them to return to their home location. Those cats are currently living in a secured outdoor enclosure.

Because DRR is not a sanctuary, we find placement for every cat that comes our way. Some take a bit longer than others and that has been the case for stunning Dorrie you see pictured below. So if you could use a working cat, can provide shelter, and feed a kitty every day we would LOVE to hear from you.
