The New York State Horse Council is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit organization. In addition to your membership, your continued support is vital to our goals and objectives throughout the year.

Over the next few years, we are focused on building up our budget for the purposes of trail preservation, youth events and education, expanding our scholarship offers, and improving our overall infrastructure for the 21st century. We are blessed by our miraculous volunteers, who give their time and energy for these efforts.

Any amount you can spare to help us further enhance and expand these efforts will be greatly appreciated. All donations are tax deductible. On behalf of our board, members, friends, and partners ..

THANK YOU!

NYFB to host Eastern Equine Encephalitis/West Nile Virus Webinar with Cornell DVMs on Sept. 6

New York Farm Bureau is hosting a webinar on Friday, Sept. 6 at noon about Eastern equine encephalitis (EEE) and West Nile Virus (WNV), viruses spread to humans and horses via mosquito bites. While there is no known treatment for humans, there are vaccines for horses.

Gillian Perkins, DVM, Associate Director of the Cornell University Hospital for Animals, and Toby Pinn-Woodcock, DVM, Assistant Clinical Professor at the Cornell Animal Health Diagnostic Center, will discuss the prevalence and geographic distribution of equine EEE and WNV cases in NY this season in comparison to years past, and explain how to work with veterinarians to recognize the clinical signs, understand available diagnostic tests and prevent EEE and WNV in horses.

The mission of New York Farm Bureau is "Supporting today’s agricultural needs and creating member opportunities for tomorrow through advocacy and education."
