We can’t believe Freddy hasn’t found his forever home yet!

Freddy is an adorable 8-month-old pup weighing just 14 pounds. This sweet boy is neutered, fully up-to-date on all his vetting, and ready to find his forever family. Freddy has a friendly, adaptable personality—he gets along wonderfully with dogs, cats, and kids. He’s also a loyal little companion who loves to pick a favorite person in the household and stick by their side like a shadow. He is still a puppy and shows those types of behaviors at times, but he is easily redirected!

🎆🐾 Fireworks and Our Furry Friends 🐾🎆

As we get ready to celebrate, let’s remember that fireworks can be terrifying for many dogs. The loud noises and bright flashes can cause anxiety and stress for our pups, and it’s important we help them feel safe and secure during these times.

💡 Here are a few tips to make the season a little less scary for our dogs:

1. Create a Safe Space: Set up a cozy spot in your home where your dog can retreat to, away from the noise. Close the curtains, dim the lights, and make it their own little hideaway.

2. Distractions Help: Play some calming music or turn on the TV to help mask the sounds of fireworks. It can help take their mind off the noise.

3. Comfort and Reassurance: Stay calm and offer comfort, but don’t overdo it – your dog will look to you for cues. Offering treats or their favorite toys can help distract them.

4. Exercise Beforehand: A nice long walk or play session earlier in the day can help burn off some energy and reduce stress.

5. Consider a Thundershirt: Some dogs find comfort in snug, gentle pressure. Thundershirts or calming wraps can be a great option.

We received a message this morning about this girl who has been hanging out at a hotel.

Finders say she is very sweet and friendly. She tries to get in their car. 💔

We would LOVE to help get this girl some vet care and TLC but we NEED a foster!!

Can anyone in the Kingsville area foster her?

We will provide all supplies needed to care for her (kennel, food, toys, leash, collar, etc.) and all vet expenses are covered. 😔💔
