Yoo-hoo! Calling all German Shepard Dog owners! Did you know Sterling specializes in working with GSD’s using aversive free training techniques? It’s true! We believe aversives cause more harm than good and they aren’t fun for your fur baby either. Sterling can help you with training your German shepherd without the use of prong collars, shock collars, or aggressive handling. If you’re looking for a trusted dog walker, your GSD will also be trained gently while being walked. Stay tuned for training tips and why we don’t use aversives here at Sterling Dog Care.

Meet Birdie! Our newest daycare doggo at 11 months old. She’s a Cavalier King Spaniel and Cocker Spaniel mix. She’s become instantly popular with the pack, and Fozzi is absolutely her best friend already. We are so excited to have you Birdie, welcome to the pack! We love you already!

🎉🎊 Sterling Dog Care celebrated our one year anniversary since moving our business to Kirkland! Beverly started in dog care in the south loop of Chicago in January 2012 after meeting her first client on care.com. Since then Sterling has discovered his love and passion for dogs and became a certified professional dog trainer (CPDT-ka). Meet our 9month old Bernadoodle, Bentley! Upon first look, you might think he’s just a giant teddy bear, but we assure you he’s real! He loves both humans and dogs alike, almost as much as we love him. We enjoy having him around and are so happy he’s apart of our pack!

Bailey! She is our wisest, most calm of the pack. Our little senior lady who loves a good cuddle and doesn’t mind a little time to herself in a closet. She comes for boarding and we just adore when we have her. 🩷

Our newest pack members, Theia & Archie. Archie is our newest puppy preschooler at just 5 months old! His older sister Theia is 7 who does potty breaks after Archie gets home from school. They are both wonderfully sweet dogs, and we are so excited to have them as part of our pack!

Bud is our gentle giant who loves all his little dog friends while he hangs with us on his Adolescent Adventures. He is a very sweet boy who is a bit shy, but once he warms up you’ll get to hear his soulful howl as he sings along a chorus with Pandi. He’s a treat to have around and we are so lucky he is apart of our pack! We love you, Bud! 🩵

Meet Lou! Our almost 3 year old German Shorthaired Pointer who tags along with Katie. His favorite words are “birds” and “squirrels”, while his favorite activity is watching out the window for birds and squirrels. He’s a loveable goofball, who has really come out of his shell since coming to daycare. We love you, Lou! 🩵🐶
