Did you know a baby newborn goat is called a kid! Kind of like you! The mother goat is called a doe or a nanny while the father goat is called a billy or a buck. .

Kitty have a mishap? It happens. Merciful Maiden has discovered that after she cleans up the accident all she need to do is to apply a drop or two of geranium essential oil to keep the cats from returning to the spot.

Llamas are so misunderstood. They will only spit if you don not know llama etiquette . There is a proper way to meet a llama! They are sweet, gentle animals who are treated poorly by the majority of people. Merciful Maiden loves llamas!

Having to say 'Goodbye' to the cows.
Funds at Merciful Maiden have gotten tighter so we had to look for homes at other sanctuaries for some of the animals.

Merciful Maiden rescued this baby goat from a dairy. Little boys are usually discarded to die or killed when born as the dairies only want the female goatlings. Melton, the cat, loves him💞
