All Paws Pet Services offer Pet sitting, Pet walking, and Pet Boarding in a home atmosphere. For years, Amanda has volunteered her time in the Knoxville and surrounding area saving/rescuing animals. Because she gravitated towards the most challenging rescues, often saving animals with the most pressing and complex medical conditions, rescue organizations need thousands of dollars to care for the n
ew animals. At one point, Amanda started to feel like a burden and decided it was time to be responsible for her own fundraising. Amanda spent a few hours thinking about a name for the new rescue organization, and came up with All Paws Of The Heartland Rescue. With the support of my community and friends, All Paws Of The Heartland Rescue is able to save the lives of animals through the following programs:
1. Animal Rescues: Everyday, All Paws Of The Heartland Rescue (Amanda) receives calls from around the area to help rescue abandoned, homeless, and injured animals in dire situations. Amanda rescues many animals each year and travels outside her home area to assist other rescues when necessary. Amanda shelters and provides care for the animals she rescues and in hopes that All Paws Of The Heartland Rescue will be a stepping stone to help more.
2. Veterinary Care: All rescued animals visit a Veterinary Clinic for evaluation and treatment. General veterinary care may include vaccines, rabies and health certificates, deworming/parasite treatment, heartworm and FIV/FeLV tests, and spaying or neutering, but many rescued animals also need surgeries and long term inpatient care. This treatment is essential because injured and sick animals are less likely to find “forever” homes and are at risk for euthanasia in shelters. Amanda has been doing this from her own pocketbook, but she can be spread thin at times. All Paws Of The Heartland Rescue was started to help more and take the "stress" off Amanda, so she is able to help more.
3. Adoption: Amanda has always believed that all animals deserves a forever home. Amanda also believes that animals can help with mental needs. Amanda has bipolar one and in her heart she believes her personal animals have helped her deal with her mental illness. So she believes that animals were put on this earth for a reason and the reason is unconditional love. So she works very hard to find the "perfect home" for each and every animal that she saves.
4. Spay/Neuter: Amanda believes in this to no end.
