We carry cultured live rock from the Florida Keys as well as a selection of various Pacific cultured varieties. Fresh Mixed Saltwater
We use Seachem aquavitro Salinity Salt mix, which is individually lab tested and contains a higher level of essential elements than other mixes on the market. We mix our water to a salinity of 1.024


R.O. Water
We offer R.O. freshwater for top off or freshwater aquariums. Our R.O. water has a consistently tested low TDS level. Custom Professions Aquarium Installation Maintenance is available. Neon Tetras have a party trick most people never notice: that blue green stripe isn’t pigment at all it’s a tunable “photonic” mirror made of guanine plates that shifts with light and even time of day, glowing greenish in daylight and sliding toward violet at night (their iridophores change plate spacing, like a tiny Venetian blind) . In the wild’s dark Amazon blackwaters this makes them pop for each other; in the hobby they’re farm raised by the millions every month, which is why you still see them everywhere despite that high-tech biology  🐟🌿

One of the lesser known facts about Black Neon Tetras is that they have an unusually high resistance to light related stress compared to many other small tetras. In the wild, they inhabit shallow, sun exposed streams in Brazil, and over time they’ve developed a pigment layer that protects their eyes and skin from intense daylight. That’s part of why they adapt so well to bright, open aquariums they’re tougher than they look. 🐟🌿

I’ve always liked keeping Otocinclus in my planted tanks they work nonstop, but in such a calm way that you barely notice until the leaves are spotless. What amazes me is how gentle they are, cleaning even the softest plants without leaving a mark. Every time I add a small group, the tank looks completely different within a couple of days. 🐟🌿
