The Mastin del Pirineo (Pyrenean Mastiff) is
an ancient and rare breed of Livestock Guardian Dog originating in Spain. Known for strength, loyally and their protective but gentle nature. Our pups are exposed to Kunekune pigs, dwarf Nigerian goats, several species of fowl, horses, cats (barn and house) as well as our young daughter and her friends.
Our beautiful Belva of Pu’uwai O Pokela celebrated her second birthday yesterday. She is such a lovely dog, silly, smart and sweet - unless you are a strange someone or something in the night - then she is bold, brave and brash. Day or night she has simply been delightful, our Belva dolce.

Arcoiris de Hitt, our sweet and sassy Iris, turned two years old yesterday. ❤️🎉.
She is our lean, mean (only when she has need to be), farm-guarding and family loving machine. She is wonderful with our animals; perfectly protective of them and our property. Iris is so fierce in fact that she could probably do the job all on her own, but she adores her pack and is such a great part of our team.

On the 12th Ulyana Dei Magenifa turned five years old. The 17th was Nita Bella’s (honorary PM pack member) eleventh birthday. Yesterday, the 20th, Wafi de Reis D’Aragon celebrated his fifth.

Knowing that we are safe and that we are fortunate to not need assistance, it is time to help others who are scared and suffering.
Many animlas have survived the horrific fires here on Maui. Some have severe injuries and smoke inhalation. The Maui Humane Society is coordinating veterinary teams and volunteers to go into the fire ravaged areas to help get these animlas out, to get them care and when possible, to reunite them with their families. So many have lost all of their earthly possessions in the fires and are desperate for news of their beloved animals. The Maui Humane Society is working non-stop to get information regarding those found as well as those who have tragically passed to their owners. MHS is also distributing food, medications and supplies so families can continue to keep their animals with them despite losing their homes.
We humbly ask that if our friends here are inclined and able, please consider joining us in making a donation to assist in these efforts.

We are safe. The fire here in Kula got too close for comfort and we were very worried but everyone is ok. Many in other areas were not as fortunate. We hold them in our hearts. Please send good thoughts for Maui and her recovery. It will be a long road and help will be needed. If anyone is inclined and able some trusted organizations where contributions can be made are the Maui Food Bank, the Maui Humane Society and the Red Cross.

Twelve wonderful pups now living and working in Minnesota, California, and in Hawaii - on Maui, Big Island and Oahu.

This video seems fitting to share today. Iris asks - “Turkey in Berkeley?!?” Well, yes! 🤣. She isn’t so sure about these West Coast birds - where is their coop? Why is no one watching them? Sweet girl has so many questions. Can’t wait till she’s home with us. 🌺.
