One hour out from our first zoo takeover Saturday!

What does that mean? All day today you can come to the shop for hands on experiences with all of our shop ambassador animals. Admission is $4 per person, and $20 for any group with 4+ people. All proceeds will be used to help feed and care for our rescue animals, and toward the fees needed to get our 501c3 organized.

These two girls were surrendered a few weeks back and are now available for adoption!

Bellatrix, black rabbit, is a large mixed breed and a year or older. She is very calm and friendly

Luna, black and white rabbit. is a lion head cross and six months old
she is shy, but very sweet.

Annnd were back.

With more news!

We are going to be changing things up a little bit around here.

We are changing our shop hours to 1:00-6:30, still Tuesday through Saturday!

Secondly, in order to aid in our rescue/501c3 efforts we are bringing back Zoo Nights! If you don't know what that is, it's where we don't do normal sales, we charge an admission fee, and you are allowed to interact with all of our animal ambassadors we have in the shop. We also have fun games and activities for the kiddos, and every zoo Night will have a theme. More news on that to come.

So starting February the first and the third weekend of the month, we will be doing zoo days! $4 admission, and all of the proceeds will go to helping establish and maintain our non-profit entity, so that there is a place in Eastern Oregon that is able to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome any and all exotic pet animals!

Hey guys, if you hadn't noticed, there is a bunch of snow out there! It's also January, and it's been a really slow week so far. I also can't put in any feeder orders or live animal orders as the overnight lows are super low, and the order would likely show up dead.

With all of that being said, it seems like a good time for myself, and my assistants to take a breather. We will be closed today, tomorrow and Saturday. We will be back open as per usual next Tuesday.

However, I obviously still have over 200 animals in the shop to look after at any given point in time, so I will be around. If you need something simple, like live or frozen snake food, mealworms, superworms or waxworms (that's all of the feeder insects we have right now), or you had planned on getting an animal, Etc, I definitely still can grab that for you, just shoot me a message on here, and we can coordinate a time to have you come get it.

If you have been following us for a while, you might remember when we got 150 axolotls surrendered, or when we had 29 guinea pigs in the shop at a time. Well it looks like we have found our next over-abundance-animal. RABBITS! WE have 9 rabbits currently, and similar to the guinea pigs, we likely have multiple pregnant females. We Also fully expect to have more surrendered soon. It has become really obvious that there is a dire need for an official exotic animal rescue for Eastern Oregon.

So with that, it's a good time to come out and say we are officially taking steps toward opening an official non profit exotic animal rescue that works with birds, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates, fish, and small animals. The problem is it takes time and money to do that, so we are looking for support from our wonderful community! If you would just take a moment to check out our gofundme page, we would appreciate it greatly.

If you want to support our mission, and you don't have any extra funds, no problem! Simply sharing this post helps greatly. We also take in used cages, tanks, and kennels, food and bedding etc.

What we are in dire need of right now though, is medium to large wire dog kennels, as they make wonderful temporary cages for bunnies! I might also add that any funds generated with this campaign will be used specifically for the adoption animals we have in the store.

Hey guys there’s something I’ve been wanting to talk about.

Did you know we do rescue? We take in surrendered animals that people no longer want or can’t care for anymore, we rehab and rehome them when possible.

Since the store has opened we have had over 300 animals surrendered to us,
most have been rehomed and many are still looking for their forever homes.

We always appreciate donations of extra food, old cages, bedding, cash, ect.

We have a ton of corn snakes in the shop looking for forever homes, in about every color and pattern you could imagine!
You hear a lot about ball pythons being the best beginner snake, but that is far from the truth. Corn snakes are friendly, inquisitive, and grow to a very manageable size. They also typically eat like Champs, and rarely have problems shedding, both of which are common ball python problems. Ball pythons are wonderful too, but I'm here to tell you, these are an absolutely wonderful beginner reptile. 😊

Hey guys, this is a long shot, but I lost my parakeet guys number, and I desperately need more parakeets in the shop. If anyone knows kenneth dueck in union, please tell him to call me. In the meantime, if anyone else is around that breeds parakeets, or other birds, we are certainly interested. 😁

13 tanks (more than we have ever had) up and cycling, we have tirelessly been filling tanks, doing water changes, testing the water, scraping algae, and cleaning up our tanks in anticipation of our upcoming fish shipments.

I know many of have been eagerly awaiting our next fish order. We appreciate your patience, and the wait is very nearly over, stay tuned!
