Standing at stud at Reindance Canadian Horses & Equestrian Services-USA…
We’ve all been waiting…yes, me included. Since this boy entered the world, I’ve always known he was special….but in my books, there are some very strict and high expectations to meet to be a stallion. Especially when we also have Amaro and he has set some high standards himself.
After passing and even surpassing all my expectations…TEMPERAMENT, TALANT, VERSATILITY, HEART, PERSONALITY, WILLINGNESS, MOVEMENT, COMFORMATION, BLOODLINES, TYPE, COLOR. And coming this year…a show record!
Our very own creation. By our one and only Amaro, and out of one of our best and most cherished mare, Alix.
Reindance Amaro ICONIC. [CAN] 15005
A purebred, registered, Canadian Stallion.
14.3hh. (Might finish around 15.1 max?)
Lots of body, muscling, and bone, put together in a beautiful elegant with loads of presence.
Very flashy, snappy, high knee and hock action. That flash is paired with a big motor lending some great reach, sit, and impulsion too! AND….he’s as smooth as can be to ride. You simply glide. He looks like he stepped straight out of a Krieghoff painting….wait…some of those WERE of Canadian horses!...did you know that?
A short, chiseled, beautiful head with added attractive white chrome.
A lovely strong topline with medium length.
Great feet the breed is known for.
Breeding that goes WAY back and one of the few remaining in the breed that carries the cream gene. And in addition to that, he got the dark gold color of his sire and his year round dapples. ALSO an added pattern perk is he is heterozygous for W20 too. That being said, even though he is palomino, he can also throw a black foal (and has) with a black or bay mare. Depending on a mares genetics, I can also get more into what color they may throw.
For those that know genetics, he is ee, aa, nCr, w20, nd2,nd2.
That means depending on the mares genes, you can get chestnut, palomino, black, smoky black, bay, buckskin, or a double dilute if a mare also carries a cream gene.
While he doesn’t yet have a competitive show record due to his young age, he has taken to training like a fish to water and so far, like his parents, there is nothing won’t and cant do! He’s been started under saddle as well as under harness and we are very much looking forward to getting him out into the show ring this year.
He gave us a perfect foal crop for his test crop in 2024. A bay filly, a palomino c**t, and a black c**t. They varied in size as we expected with the paired mares and all have amazing temperaments, movement and conformation. We could not be happier with the results and are very much looking forward to the next batch!
His sire, Amaro has shown us that the Canadian Horse also makes a great cross on many outside breeds! Yes, we do stand our stallions to outside breeds! Why wouldn’t you want to add that great bone, muscling, hair, heart, intelligence, and temperament! They bring so much to the table!
Now that he has passed and exceeded all our expectations, I am happy and proud to offer him to the public so he can make you your perfect foal!
Please inquire and request a breeding application and lets make you your very own Iconic kid!
PS: If you don’t know who to pick…
Some known differences between Iconic and Amaro:
Iconic is shorter and has a slightly longer topline, where amaro is taller (15.3) and has a shorter back and neck.
Iconic has thicker muscling in the neck and body where Amaro is more refined in the neck and more compact.
Iconic has a smaller more refined head.
Iconic has more knee and hock action, where Amaro has more loft in his movement. Iconic does slightly paddle, where Amaro tracks very straight and has proven to correct or at least improve paddling if the mare paddles.
Amaro does not have the w20 gene, so he won’t throw much white if you prefer solid color or minimal white.
