We are broken-hearted this morning after having to abruptly say goodbye to our beloved Yoda Jedi last night.
Words cannot express how much we will miss everything about Yoda, like his warm peach fuzz touch, his occasional ludicrous zoomies, his love of zerberts and biscuit-making, and the intense vibration of his purrs. We will also miss adventurous and mischievous habits (teasing the dogs, foraging the countertops for baked goods or sour cream, greeting visitors with shoulder-sits and head-butts, planting himself squarely in front of our face while we try and watch tv, and basically demand he is the center of attention). We will especially miss witnessing his absurd and numerous sleeping poses. Every human and animal who met Yoda instantly fell in love with him. He was truly one of a kind.
Our naked boy was not only outgoing (and quite photogenic), but he showed and gave us unconditional love that knew no bounds. The love we returned to Yoda was limitless. His absence today has left a terrible hole in our hearts, hitting us especially hard after losing to a valiant battle with kidney disease only weeks ago.
Yoda became severely ill quite suddenly and took his last breath yesterday evening, only 48hrs from the first indication something wasn’t right. The vet suspects he has silently been living with lymphoma but showed no signs/symptoms until it was too late. 💔😿
Rest easy you must.
