Searching for an incredibly conveniently located, top-notch boarding opportunity? Look no further! I have availability at my facility in Ladson- approximately 5 minutes from exit 199 on I-26 & the Summerville Tractor Supply. Twice daily, your horse will enjoy premium feed and hay options tailored to their individual needs. Provided feed thru supplements and medications are given at no additional cost. We like for all horses to be given Sand-Clear/Metamucil, the first 7 days of each month (first 10 days in winter months). Ration balancer, alfalfa cubes and beet pulp are available for additional cost if requested. My facility is run on city water and we ensure all water troughs are extensively cleaned at least 2-3 times a week. With the fresh taste & each field having clean, cool water- the horses on at my barn are great drinkers! Facility amenities include two spacious locking tackrooms, two washracks, trailer parking, trails, full size roundpen, three riding arenas- each suitable for a variety of disciplines- 1)our large freshly grated and leveled arena which houses a full jump course and barrels, 2) our smaller lighted arena which provides the opportunity to sneak a quick ride in before dark & 3) our third riding arena which will be primarily for flatwork, measured/marked for dressage. All fields contain run-in shelters, offer tons of grazing and shade opportunity and are maintained weekly. Our skilled farrier is very consistently scheduled every 5 to 6 weeks. We have semi-annual farm vet visits to update preventative care. Yearly appointments with professional equine dentist. Any and all appointments I schedule, I am available to offer holding for if necessary. We have on-site trainers who are available for lessons or training rides if interested. I will allow outside, licensed equine professionals to provide services at my facility to help best meet the needs/goals of my clients/horses. While being barn manager to this facility for close to a decade, I have been a licensed veterinary technician of 8 years with the majority of my experience in small animal emergency, equine medicine. This & with the help of my incredible team, we are always able to provide top-notch husbandry to every animal at the farm. Integrity, trust & open communication are the driving points which enable me to ensure my clients/their horses can relax&enjoy themselves at a truly peaceful/drama free facility.

Bediko Equestrian has an awesome horse who we are looking to be lease out!

Striker is a 17yo Thoroughbred gelding who has been there, done that. He would be suitable for an advanced beginner and above as he is a very tall horse with a big stride! He has excellent ground manners, is happy to ride in the arena or the trails! He goes through pretty much any terrain including water
/mud very well.
He very much enjoys being groomed and loved on. He is very sweet and in your pocket! He is being offered for on-site half or on-site full lease.

The shortage of equine veterinarians in the U.S. is likely the cause. Many veterinary practices have too few horse doctors to service all their clients.

Why? Only about 6% of new veterinary graduates annually enter equine practice. After five years, 50% of these young veterinarians leave for small animal practice or quit veterinary medicine altogether. The primary reasons are the personal demands of the profession and equine practice’s lower starting salaries. Many new veterinarians begin their career with more than $200,000 in student loan debt, making an equine position with lower compensation often unthinkable. When financial concerns are combined with the always present demands of emergency coverage, many equine veterinarians choose to leave for a healthier way of life.

The good news is that the AAEP along with private veterinary practices and veterinary schools are addressing the pain points which have led to the current crisis. But the solution is complex and will require the support and collaboration of every person in the equine industry — including horse owners. As we work to improve the profession for current and future veterinarians, you have a huge role to play in the much-needed transformation of equine practice. Feeding takes about 1.5 hours and is very straightforward! No dangerous horses. We offer Triple Crown Senior, Nutrena pelleted feed and coastal hay. Beautiful orchard/alfalfa hay available for additional cost. Some amenities include: 2 riding rings (one has lights, the large arena has jumps and barrels), large round pen, 2 locking tackrooms with ample tack space, 2 wash racks, trailer parking and trails. Outside trainers are welcome! We are a quiet, laid back facility that offers excellent care! The farm is conveniently located in Ladson, SC.😊
