True!!!!

Should you crate train your Doberman? ABSOLUTELY!! If introduced properly and in a positive manner, the crate becomes a safe haven and a secure ‘den’ for any breed of dog. This way the dog has a place to go when things get too hectic and he needs a break, and when he has to travel, his ‘home’ can come with him and he is not unsettled by the situation.

It is unfair to leave a young, unsupervised Doberman alone in the house and expect him to be good. When he is safely in his crate, you know that you can come home and enjoy your dog (and he can enjoy you) without the trauma of a big, unexpected mess. Last, but certainly not least, if your dog is ever ill and is required to stay in a crate, either at home or at the vet, it will help his recovery if he is comfortable resting in his ‘den’ rather than feeling like he is trapped in a cage he is not used to.

Dax here has no problem getting comfortable in his crate!

We've shared the story of Louis Dobermann, the tax collector from Apolda, Germany, who was responsible for creating the Doberman breed. But there was another man from Apolda -- Otto Göller -- who also played a huge role in directing their fate. Göller was a distillery owner who first laid eyes on a Doberman at a dog show in the late 1800s. Within a few years, he was buying, breeding and selling hundreds of Dobermans from his kennel, which he called ‘von Thuringen.'

Five years after Louis Dobermann's death, Göller was a respected Doberman judge who founded the first-ever Doberman club, which met in a pub in Apolda. As another tribute to the breed he loved, Göller produced Echte Dobermanns Bitter (Real Dobermann Bitter) in his distillery.

They have had leash training & I have also worked with them on trimming their nails with clippers & the dremel!

After several days of rain we had a beautiful sunny 🌞 day yesterday & today so the pups got to go outside!
I worked with them on trimming their nails with the Dremel tool & they did great! 😆 So proud of these beautiful babies!
Look at this perfect row of puppies! 😍
Now they are out! 😂
