Ever wonder if a dog and cat can become friends?!?! 🐶🐱The answer is ABSOLUTELY! Some dogs and cats can become best of friends if their introduction is done the right way.

When introducing a new dog to a home with a cat (or vice versa), never put them together and "let them work things out" for themselves. This can be stressful and ruin any chance at a potential lifelong friendship. Instead, use some of these tips and remember that this can be done gradually over a period of days, weeks or months.

Warmer weather typically means more time outdoors for your dogs and a higher risk for ticks. Your dog's fur is a paradise for ticks which may carry dangerous diseases that can also infect humans.

𝗧𝗶𝗰𝗸 𝗥𝗲𝗺𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗧𝗶𝗽𝘀:
❌ Grasp the tick close to your dog's skin with fine-tipped tweezers.
❌ Pull straight up without twisting or squeezing to avoid breaking the tick.
❌ Place the tick in rubbing alcohol and into a sealed bag or container.
❌ Discard the tick.
❌ Clean your dog's skin after removal.
❌ If you are uncomfortable removing the tick, please give us a call.

With temps already getting hot, we want to remind you how hot pavement can get for dogs and cats. Our recommendation is to do walks when the temperatures are at the lowest which usually include mornings and evenings. If you walk your animals during the middle of the day at the highest temperatures, allow them to walk on grass if they want.
