Kahlua has been hanging out at The Bone Adventure while her foster fam is on vacation and it looks like she’s picked up a new hobby during her stay 🐕💦👙 Maybe we need to make it a requirement that her forever home has a pool she can play in 🤔🤪

We normally like to keep our page very positive and lighthearted, but the truth is that sometimes we don’t get the outcome we want with a rescue. Sometimes things are out of our control, and no matter what we do, we can’t change it. That was the case for Blossom.
We rescued Blossom from the shelter feeling so happy and excited. Things were about to turn around for her! We brought her to her foster parent thinking it was only up from here…only to notice over the following days that something wasn’t right. Blossom began showing signs of a neurological issue, so we took her to the vet and got the awful news that she had an inoperable brain tumor.
We were devastated. Blossom was this total sweetheart of a dog, and all we wanted to do was give her the life she deserved. But suddenly the best we could do for her was keep her comfortable in her final days.
So that’s what we did. She was showered with love and attention by her foster, and she didn’t feel an ounce of pain. She was treated exactly how she should have always been treated. We know she crossed that rainbow bridge feeling like the special dog she was.
We’ve never broadcasted these types of outcomes before but we’re sharing her story with you all because we want to acknowledge her purpose. We want to acknowledge every dogs purpose. They are not just a statistic. They are souls that deserve to be recognized. We will never forget Blossom or any of the other dogs we’ve lost. Maybe we can’t save them all, we can at the very least recognize the value that each and every dog has 💛 We love you Blossom 🌼
Peggy Sue had her surgery and it was a success! Stay tuned for the next update on her recovery 💛
