I give baby back nails a colorful little polish to tell them apart and track their weight. Sometimes it gets a little too confusing and it's hit or miss but while it works it's great 😂😘

This is Pammy and Jeannie. I named them after my mother and my aunt and yesterday they had a little boy join them and I named him Georgie after my uncle.

Urgent call from Port Orange fire department #12 yesterday about a precious little girl who weighs only 94 grams. Providing attentive care and nurturing her delicate little body 24/7, praying that she'll thrive and become a survivor.

Not every animal comes in to us to be saved, sometimes they come to us to be loved before they pass. Animals do not process time and with that what we process is so short its actually a lifetime for them when we give them comfort. It was not that we could've of done more its that we did exactly what we were meant to do. WE LOVED THEM FOR A LIFE TIME. To all the rehabbers.....thank you for loving them in the time they had and bring peace at the end.

I am so thankful for my community. Yesterday a wonderful person from Lake Helen who also allows me to release opossums and other animals on his property reached out to me and said he was ordering a part for my car and this weekend he's going to see about getting that part installed! Hallelujah!!! I may be able to help myself in the future after all and get back on the road with Uber and Lyft again between feedings. I don't know what I would do without my Lake Helen community of family and friends. Thank you Bobby ❤️ feeling grateful.

Well on top of the car being broke down ... I did find out it only needs bearings I haven't found out how much that's going to cost yet 😮 But now the washing machine is broke down money raised has to go to a washing machine then the car has to sit :'( and now I'm drowning in dirty wildlife laundry, I'm really glad I don't have a family of close to wash and just a few of my own. About a month or so ago I was able to fix it by myself and I tried to do that fix again and it was a no-go this time 😭

The sign for the day! No one came today, so no one got to see it. :/ Yeah, we need some help..... things are super tight. I would love to go out between feedings and drive Uber or Lyft but the van is not too drivable. It's the rescue vehicle, the only vehicle. I'm almost dead in the water. I don't know what we're gonna do. Something with the CV joints or struts.
I hate asking for help, but I'm asking... I need funds to get this vehicle fixed so I can do animal pickups. So I can drive and make money to feed the many mouths we are housing here. Don't get the wrong idea, we have food...we aren't starving, but have needs, bills to pay to keep the lights on, the water running, etc. and we're not quite making it :'( HELP if you can? Thanks in advance. Much appreciated. I feel like I'm drowning.

Very well said. Kudos to you lady. I actually had one brought to me that was turned away by a vet's office who takes in injured wildlife. Yes that you read that right can you believe that? Of course I called that vet's office and reamed them a new bu****le. I still think I need to call them back and have a meeting with their office manager and the lead vet there and take all the pictures with me that I took of the baby. Absolutely was shocked when it arrived at my rescue in the lady told me that she was turned away with it. My heart is with you as I know exactly what you're going through you said it well and I must share it.

We've got to do better to keep the babies warm to save them! Just cuz it's 85-90° outside doesn't mean they are warm. A sock full of rice warmed in the microwave for 2 mins works perfectly, put that in the box with the baby while you're waiting for the rehabber. Their body temp is 99°🐿️

In some cases, baby raccoons require additional attention, such as subcutaneous fluids for added hydration. As a wildlife rehabber, i possess the necessary skills to administer such treatment, as demonstrated with baby Gomez today.

Release day for Marshmallow, Vixen and Prancer from Deltona, who's Mom was attacked by a dog... may they never meet a dog again on this 100 acres and the 180 behind it! Also, Jingle and Jangle from Lake Helen who's Mom was believed to be hit by car.... and Sleepy, the lone orphan from Edgewater. Chance & Jewels Release 3/30/24 Chance came in with a head injury, healed up after a bit of time and was eating and acting like a normal guy, flirting with his neighbor Jewels, who was in rehab after a dog attack. They were both healed up and ready to go be free in a safe environment far from people... 100 acres, with 180 acres of preserve behind it sounds perfect... be free kids!
Rattus Rattus... aka Roof Rat or Roofie a baby I just let em live in a big tank with a running wheel and feed em. They are kinda cute.
