Is this your old girl? She was found in Weldon. Her jacket says hustle (her name according to her chip) on it. She’s chipped but we’re getting no response from the phone number listed on her chip. She’s currently sitting in a kennel howling and crying. We want to get her back home asap.

UPDATE: luckily a couple rescues were able to come to our aid. We are still desperate for adopters and fosters because we are still extremely full. We have many different breeds (no small breeds) that are all amazing dogs.
Kern valley animal shelter inc. is in desperate need of fosters and adopters. Someone brought in 4 dogs this morning and we are now at capacity. If even one more dog gets brought in we may have to euthanize others.

Dogs deserve a thanksgiving feast too! Today all of our shelter dogs were extremely thankful for their thanksgiving feast with kibble, gravy, and of course turkey! And a huge shout out to Deborah Politakis for bringing our dogs turkey; they absolutely loved it! Happy thanksgiving!

We need adopters and fosters by the end of the day today or we will have to euthanize multiple dogs.

Unfortunately Kern Valley Animal Shelter inc. is at capacity. We are in desperate need of adopters and fosters. We have no room for any more dogs and if any more come we may have to euthanize others. Our entire mission is to save them all but without fosters and adopters we will fail. We have over 20 dogs that are amazing, sweet, loving, etc. We need your help to save lives. We will be doing free adoptions for the rest of the year.
