Need annual shots for your cat or dog? Want to get Fluffy microchipped in case he runs away again? Beginning in August we are switching from holding Saturday clinic events to a voucher system for pet vaccines and microchipping. If you are a low-income, lake-area pet owner, stop in the shelter to purchase a voucher beginning on Monday, August 2.

The cost for annual core and rabies vaccines and microchipping will be $15 each. There will be a limited quantity of vouchers available each month, with a maximum of 2 pets per voucher. You will be allowed to purchase 2 vouchers monthly as supplies last.

To buy a voucher you must come to the shelter IN PERSON during our public business hours of Monday - Saturday from noon until 4pm. Payment must be made at time of purchase with cash (correct change only) or debit/credit card. Vouchers are available on a first come/first serve basis.

Vouchers will be valid at Lake Dog and Cat, LLC. in Laurie, MO by appointment only for 30 days following purchase . You must call the veterinarian office after receiving your voucher to schedule your appointment.

We are hoping that switching to this method will allow more people who need help to be able to take advantage of this low cost program.
