The Big Tito man went home after spending a month with us for basic obedience. This boy was a blast to work with and is the sweetest boy. We're proud of the work he did and look forward to seeing him continue to progress at home.
Welcome to the flatwoods "Call". He was brought here all the way from Nebraska from someone who has taught us a lot about Gundogs, and trained and championed more dogs than you can imagine. So needless to say Call is a pretty special little guy to us already. Lorie passing really took the wind out of our sails and while still dealing with losing her we knew we had to quickly get on the search for her replacement. Lorie set the standard of what we would look for in a flush/retrieve dog so we knew we had to go to the best to find it. Our friend Tom Tracy told me he was picking up some field bred English Cocker pups out of Nebraska that come from some of the best bloodlines in the country. Call has some big shoes to fill but, we're confident he'll step up to the challenge.

The beautiful Dottie went home yesterday after spending a month with us working on her basic obedience. Dottie learned to stop jumping on people, house manners, place command, threshold discipline and recall. Dottie was eager to learn and one of the sweetest gals to work with.

Hey Folks. I know a lot of our clients use Pam at Farmhouse for their grooming needs. Right now Pam is really going through it due to the recent storm. Her building has flooded and there's still 6 inches of standing water inside. Pam is currently in the process of moving to a new location down the road. Due to this she has had to shut down for a few days and told me she's just going to have to bust her tail to make up for the lost money. Pam has always been a giver even if she didn't have it to give. She has taken on dogs that other groomers have turned away and is one of the kindest people I know. As small business owners it hurts us to see her go through this. So with that in mind we would like to take up a donation for her. Good morning everyone! We hope every one made it through the storm ok. We had no damage and only lost power for about an hour🙌. We're back at it this morning getting kennels cleaned and dogs moved around. We want to thank everyone who called and texted to check on us yesterday, we truly love our Flatwoods family. We are open for our regular 8-8 hours today.
We've moved all the Gundogs indoors, generators are fueled and ready as well as portable AC units on standby. A year ago this month when Idalia hit, we had 20 dogs in our house when we pulled the gundogs inside. Being able to comfortably house up to 60 dogs if needed is a blessing. We want to give a special thank you to Zach and Morgan Sirmans and Heath Atkison for working late last night and all day today with storm prep and dog care. We also want to thank Lee Atkison for swinging by and servicing our generators last night.
