Picture and video overload of today's snow day! We wanted to get all the dogs out to enjoy the snow like they would if they were home. This is something that only happens a few times down here in our lifetime but, it may be the only time it happens in theirs. So we wanted to make sure that they got to experience it. All the dogs had a blast this morning and it sure was fun watching them walk in snow for the first time.

All the dogs are nice and cozy! The Gundogs have been in the kennel room day/night since Sunday night and will continue to be until it's safe🤗

Palmer was in our obedience program and road out Hurricane Helene with us, she returned last month to finish up her training! She's a spunky girl and full of energy, and also very sweet and smart. She did great with reinforcing all the commands she learned in her first month! We can't wait to see her downtown with her Mom running the show.🩷

We have enjoyed getting pictures sent to us all hunting season of some of the dogs we've worked this past year. Some of these dogs spent time on hunts in Texas and Arkansas. We love that we get to play a small part in the big memories that are being made in the field. The neatest part for us is as we look through the pictures, we remember the puppy that came to us, the puppy that we showed a bird to them for the first time, shot a gun over them for the first time and in some cases gave them their first bumper. We remember the one step forward and two steps back in some cases and wondering if they'd ever flip the switch and grasp it. We know when dogs leave that we may never get to pull a trigger over them again but, a piece of them will always be with us. The paw prints they leave here on their path to greatness are what makes this dirt hallowed ground for bird dogs.

Teddy completed his obedience training and is back home with his family😊. This was a fun guy to work with, he was eager to please and took to everything very quickly to be such a young puppy! Can't wait to see his progress as he grows up.

This was one of three finds for Birdie, while working under the gun. She's been introduced to quail a couple times but today you could really see the switch flip and her putting all the pieces together. Proud of this girl!

Grover completed his first month of training to become a therapy dog! Such a smart boy with a great personality, and loves everyone he meets. We're excited to be a part of his therapy dog journey, and we know he's gonna do great serving the kids at Pine Grove Middle School when he's done with all his training🩶

Olive stopped by today for her AKC CGC evaluation and passed with flying colors! Olive has been a part of our CGC group since she was a puppy and went through the AKC S.T.A.R puppy program. While here today Olive also earned her AKC trick dog novice title. Olive has also been working with another trainer in IGP sportdog work. Next up is CGC Urban and CGC advanced. We're so proud of this pretty girl and look forward to seeing all of her continued work.
