Meet our : Archie!

When Archie was just a puppy, he faced a tough challenge—he was diagnosed with a neurological condition called Wobbler’s Syndrome. But his mom wasn’t going to let that stop him. She drove him across the country to find the treatment he needed, giving him a chance at a much better life. 🐾

Once he recovered, Archie and his mom came to us with a special request: Archie is a BIG guy and needed some help learning basic manners and obedience. But there was a catch… Because of his condition, we couldn’t apply any pressure to his neck or use traditional collars. Archie HAD to be trained in a harness!
It didn’t stop us, though! Our trainers worked with Archie, adapting every step to fit his needs.

Over time, Archie not only learned to follow the rules, but he also overcame a fear that had been holding him back: getting his nails trimmed. After a bad experience at the vet, he was terrified of anyone near his paws. But with patience, care, and a gentle approach, Archie now looks forward to his monthly nail trims and even enjoys a little pampering! 💅

We’re so proud of how far Archie has come, and so grateful for the trust he and his mom have with our trainers. This journey just shows how with the right care and understanding, anything is possible! ❤️

This year marked the beginning of our journey here in Polk and we couldn’t be more grateful for the warm welcome and trust you’ve shown Paws Plus Veterinary.

New puppy in the house? Start your dog's New Year off on the right paw by enrolling in a Day Train or Board and Train program at Das Hund Haus this January! These programs are great obedience starters for pups that are new to training, or can serve as refreshers for dogs who have... "forgotten" some of their skills 😜
