We wanted to share the good news! Sassy came in today and she is well enough that she doesn’t have to come back for a recheck for 2 weeks! Sassy cat is improving so well.

We wouldn’t be able to do all of our hard work without the communities help. Making sure that we saw the post, were able to help her, the neighbor transporting her(multiple times) and all of the donations. Our community is the best!

We wanted to provide everyone with an update on Sassy Cat. She came in this morning and received fluid treatment, her antibiotics, and other medications, and nutrients supplements. Dr. McLaughlin advised that Sassy Cat's lungs are sounding better, but he can still hear some wheezing. Her eyes are being held open more and her eyes will be okay. She tried eating a cat Churro treat and some Nutri-Cal while she was in with our staff. This is a great sign that this brave sweet courageous mama is heading towards a full recovery!

Sassy Cat is scheduled to come back to TLC PetSnip tomorrow at 9am for her next check up. Her veterinary costs for today were $54. We are hoping to provide everyone with an update tomorrow morning on her amazing progress.

Everyone may have seen the post where a citizen and their animals in our community needed help. TLC was able to get into touch with the neighbors to bring sweet Sassy Cat into TLC. We were able to provide her with the veterinary care that she desperately needed. Her bill today was $639.00 in bloodwork, x-rays, more diagnostics medications, and oxygen therapy.

TLC has created an account where donations can be applied directly to Sassy Cats account. Sweet Sassy Girl has a long road for recovery and will need further visits. Please help this family by donating to her care. Please call TLC PetSnip at 863-686-7647 to donate to her care.

The original post is attached to this, so that everyone can see that Sassy Cat was trying to save her kittens in a house fire, and unfortunately one kitten has already perished, and that is how she became injured.

Last update .
Thank-you all for your help ,suggestions ,and kindness .
TLC PETSNIP is going to see her at 11 ....
I don't know about the cost....Because I do not know the extent of her injuries .I will update that after she is seen ... I just know the poor cat is in a lot of pain and I'm doing what I can .If anyone is moved to call tlc petsnip and donate for this poor baby's care anything helps .Her name is sassy and she is a newer momma cat one of her baby's perished in the fire and so did another adult adult .She was being a good momma cat and trying to keep her babies out of and away from the fire and she got the severe injuries. With that ..I thank you all again and I hope each one of you have a wonderful day .
Update !!!
No vet that I've spoke with will Not help I have spoke to 3 they say this is an emergency and if the kitty needs her eye removed they can't do it .She would have to be taken to and emergency vet hospital and the only one they say is open is in Winter Haven .I can't drive to winter haven .Their cars burned up .!!!!!!I don't know what yo do .Anybody else ????
Please allow ,please hear me out ,my neighbors house burned down last night they lost EVERYTHING including one cat. Its on 2nd street in Highland city he has a cat that was caught in the blaze and is in excoriating pain ,looks like she lost an eye hair all smoothed can anyone some point me in the right direction to get this poor cat some help and or pain relief please. if this isn't allowed here please tell me where I should post .
Edit to add a one photo of their home just so none thinks this is some sort of scam .it is not !!! ,They literly lost everything they have due to an E bike battery being plugged up and overheating .
They are more concerned with trying to help the animal get some kind of pain relief than they are their own needs .

TLC PetSnip has made the decision to close on Thursday, September 26th, 2024 in anticipation of Hurricane Helene.

Our staff has been closely monitoring the storm's path. Based on the most current forecast, we do not expect significant impacts in our area for tomorrow, Wednesday, Sept. 25. Consequently, TLC PetSnip will remain open and conduct business as normal.

As the storm progresses, the Polk County Emergency Operations Center anticipates that Polk County will begin experiencing rain bands and winds between 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Wednesday evening. The current forecast indicates that our county may face tropical storm conditions from Thursday morning through 2 a.m. on Friday.
As a precaution, we have made the decision to close TLC PetSnip on Thursday, Sept. 26, 2024.This decision is driven by our commitment to the safety of our clients and their pets. The uncertainty surrounding the storm's trajectory necessitates that TLC PetSnip closes, so that our staff, clients, and their pets remain safe.
We plan to resume normal operations on Friday Sept 27, 2024.

We understand that the decision to close TLC PetSnip significantly impacts the lives of our clients and their pets. We greatly appreciate your understanding and patience as we navigate these circumstances together. Our Customer Care Specialists should be reaching out to you via phone or email to reschedule your appointments.
As always, your safety is our top priority. We encourage you to prepare adequately and ensure your family is ready for any weather-related challenges.
