Kiana and her owner did amazing on their first private training session! 🐕💕

She’ll be learning some house manners along with how to respond to her owner when in the backyard, whether it’s dropping something she shouldn’t have, leaving something alone, or coming when called. 🗣️

During our one-on-one session, I’ll teach you the steps to learn new behaviors or tackle undesired ones and provide guidance along the way. 🙌

It’s River’s first spa day with us! 🧼🫧💦✨

Last week, we trimmed her nails (clip & grind) and today we did a de-shed and removal of the undercoat along with ear cleaning.

She had a Furminator shampoo and conditioner treatment. If done once a month, shedding is reduced by 90% Her ears were cleaned, followed by a blow out, brushing, a second blow out, and lastly a well-deserved cookie for being a good girl! 🍖

Finley the mini Goldendoodle and Scout the mini Labradoodle are the ultimate DOODLE ACTION DUO!! 🐾💨 They had a blast during their one-week board. 🤩

Fun Fact: These two are my regulars from two different clients that don’t know each other, but coincidentally the owners pick the same boarding dates quite often. Finley and Scout love it when that happens! 😂

This month I have two 4 month old Malinois puppies to train. Today is Day 3 of Ahsoka’s Board and Train. I get Rex next week when Ahsoka goes home and then switch off again for 2 more weeks. Ahsoka’s progress is impressive in only half a week. 🤩

She’s learning manners, such as sit, down, touch, recall, place and not jumping up, along with foundational work such as potty training, crate training, socialization (exposure to new sights, smells, & sounds), bite inhibition, relaxation, body handling, desensitization and counter conditioning. 🤓

Hi Pawrents! If you’ve ever wanted to come check out my business come see me December 14th. I will be offering free treats as always to anyone who stops by with their pup.

I won’t be offering any new clients a run at this event but you can book a run in your home. I’ve come to realize there are too many distractions for a quality experience for your pup with their first run. I want your pup to receive the best time and that means from now on that time must be an in home experience. I am a new business and I’m still learning what does and doesn’t work. This is one of them.

Intro runs are now $25 and range between 20-30 minutes depending on how fast your pup learns the treadmill. Some dogs get on and run right away and some need a little encouragement with words. They get to choose their own pace since my treadmills are dog powered.

After that I offer 30 minute runs for $50.

Once I’ve met your dog I can also offer in home runs while you are away as long as your dog is accessible.

I am licensed and insured and only provide the best environment with top of the line equipment for your pup. I have air conditioning for the hot days and heat for when it’s freezing.

My forever baby. 🍼

This is 5 year old Mr. Wilson, the face of Starshine Canine and also my heart dog. He’s demoing that a baby wrap can be perfect for small dogs scared of fireworks. It works similar to a thunder jacket where constant gentle pressure is applied to release oxytocin and endorphins. A more natural relief than medication. 🤍

Mr. Wilson used to be fine with fireworks up until a couple years ago when we were at a Wild West theme park in North Carolina and he heard rapid loud gun shots. Now, he has ptsd. 🫣 Dogs can develop new fears at any age, so prepare to always be their guiding light to get through it. 🐶💫

Xander, a 5 month old mini Goldendoodle is here for a 4 day board & train. While I don’t normally do board & trains less than 7 days, his owner was originally seeking help because Xander was playing too rough with their 2 year old mini Goldendoodle and was interested my day train services. Since she had to go out of town and needed boarding anyway, I agreed to help start the foundations of meeting new dogs with monitored play, learning to take breaks, learning how to work on food puzzles and play with a flirt pole, reinforcing his current cues of sit and down, and learning the “touch” cue which will transition to “come.”
