Lucy’s first ride in the ring with Julia! Lucy was so attentive and trying to understand what Julia wanted. She also slowed down a little while Julia adjusted to Lucy’s stride. Pony stride can be hard to get used to when you’ve been riding big horses.
Halloween horsemanship wasn’t just for the kids. Jen and Leela joined in the fun too!
Last week of summer vacation and Willa earned her first canter!
Julia’s first time ever riding Jax! Jax has been so helpful to us this summer while owner has been traveling. I’m so grateful for all his help and adapting to different riders.
Willa and her pony part of their intro c test. Nice prompt transition to canter 👏🏻🤣
Mila and her pool noodle pony Violet doing their musical freestyle
Mila doing her free walk. Extra points for the pirouette 👏🏻👏🏻
Erin and her pool noodle horse Blue the Dutch warmblood doing her musical freestyle. Not sure where she got her choreography from but she busted out some serious moves. I think there are some airs above the ground 🤣
Pool noodle horse practice. #letthemplay #horsegirls
Erin picked Rio to a painting for her. I think Rio enjoyed it.
Elsa riding Pete and Mischa riding Cal! They asked for extended canter! Cal understood the assignment 🥰🤣
Happy 22nd Birthday Tyler! We love you so much. This amazing guy got the day off, had a pb&j topped with shredded carrots and molasses drizzle, grazed while the students ate ice cream and had a nice long bath (in the midst of a water fight with the hose) on a hot day.
Ida is retired from riding but she wasn’t exempt from our horsemanship activities today. We studied parts of the horse and the students had to label her. Thanks for being a good sport Ida 💕
Blindfolded obstacle course. I’m thinking the blindfold was not on that well again 🤣🤣
I’m pretty sure the blindfold wasn’t on that well! 🤣 Marielle breezed through the buckets, and over the steps pretty well, without much direction from Mia 🤣
Friday morning baby horse zooms!
Who knew the jeopardy song was such a dance hit 🤷🏼♀️🤣🤣🐴
Hazel came everyday this week. Look at the progress she made cantering off the lunge line! I am so proud of her hard work and how much she loves and takes care of my horses. She started riding with me when she was only 3 years old in her sparkly shoes and pink tutu. Now she is 7 and is so dedicated to my horse Abbey. There’s something special about this pair.
Abbey loved her massage and was very patient while Abby showed Lillian some techniques. Thank you Amethyst Equine Bodywork for doing a great job with our students today 💕
