"I'm happy with the product since CoCo is so picky that he will go all day without eating his food BUT he will consume his treats! I make sure his broth is ready so he gets some nutrients.. " I recently discovered Active Dawg Organic Bone Broth after my dog's collagen was not being sold anymore. Collagen was a key component to my dog's recovery from TPLO surgery a few years ago and now that he has torn the other knee, we are using it again. I read multiple studies on collagen and joint recovery in surgical candidates and added collagen into his first recovery. He came back stronger. I have been using Active Dawg Organic Bone Broth for a few months and he is progressing in physical therapy slowly and he loves the taste. I just warm up a little water (30 sec) and mix in the powder. I have tried just putting it dry on top of his food and it worked fine. As the summer comes, I like to know he is getting that extra fluid.
He gets excited when he sees me grab his "Wookie" mug and sits patiently for the 1 min process. Unlike his last collagen, which had to be added to boiling water, this one dissolves in warm water quickly.
Con: The only one.... I wish it had a scoop, I have given up my tablespoon to keep with his collagen (just for ease)."

"I did a side by side comparison of one food bowl with and one bowl without the broth. Both dogs went right for the broth covered food and ignored the plain bowl. After the first bowl emptied and my babies ate NONE of the other bowl, I added broth to the second bowl. When I went to pour another mix of broth in the other food bowl, my big boy started licking the cup as I was pouring!

Why Active Dawg?

We started Active Dawg after our rescue dog, Sophie suffered heat stroke and a few months later while playing with her dog pals, "popped" her back knee.

These 'experiences' and the resulting $1,000+ vet bills said there had to be a better way.
