Meet Oliver.

He's the last born from our Queenie & Yumiko "D" Litter. Right now he's charting 4-5 lbs as an adult. He's a very sweet little fella with beautiful red gold and black coloring. The only one of the litter to have this darker gold.

He has a beautiful more traditional length muzzle for a classic yorkie face. Ear training will start soon for those classic yorkie ears.

If you're on our waitlist, we'll be reaching out to you soon.

Let's talk TAIL DOCKING
Tail docking is often performed for breed standard purposes. Usually it is done to prevent injuries in working dogs. In some breeds, it's believed to help prevent damage to the tail in certain environments, such as hunting or herding.
For Yorkshire Terriers, it was used to protect the yorkies tail from being broken or otherwise damaged when they were grabbed by the tail when catching rodents.
Tail docking is illegal in almost all other countries. Unfortunately, it is NOT illegal here in the United States. However, there is hope. Here in the United States tail docking laws are changing too.
Tail docking can be harmful to dogs, especially when done for cosmetic reasons. Not only does it cause the initial pain, but it can lead to infection, phantom pain and nerve damage.
Tail docking must be done on very young puppies, around 3 days old. This would be like removing a newborn child's limb because it looks prettier without it. Most docking practices use no anesthetic and some docking (like using rubber bands) can take as long as 2 weeks to complete the process. It's horribly barbaric. This is a problematic practice, due to the significant pain it inflicts on puppies, the potential for chronic pain from nerve damage (neuromas), and the deprivation of a vital communication tool that dogs use to express their emotions, often leading to behavioral issues and impaired social interaction. Not to mention that some practices of tail docking are quite brutal and border on abuse.
Most veterinary associations and animal welfare groups strongly oppose routine tail docking as it is deemed unnecessary and cruel.
Do you still think we should dock tails for cosmetic reasons?
