Introductions. I have to brag on this guardian pup. Meeting goats for the first time. She was curious but respectful. She avoided eye contact - an absolute sought after trait in a guardian. I’m going to have fun with this one.

Thank you so much to everyone who commented on the loss of Spur. In addition to being Houdini, she was a fantastic momma. It’s kidding season here and this little was just born with an uncanny resemblance to Spurs coloring. Spur is smiling down. God works in mysterious ways.

Spur was our Houdini girl. She could escape any pen or building. She accomplished her biggest escape this morning when she left this earth and joined Whistle and Purdy herding cattle on the streets of gold. 14 years just wasn’t enough for us. We will miss you Spurry.

I couldn’t decide what direction to go when choosing a litter theme for names this time. So here you go - meet North, South, East and West.

This is a Rascal/Ziva litter. East and West are males and available. DOB 02/09/24. These pups are Velcro dogs already!! Great loyal temperaments. Will be showing them some goats soon.

Elly May is our matriarch guardian. She has more sense than most humans. She guards the entire farm and takes care of business. Normally, she leaves the goat pasture to the other guardians. This evening when I saw her just outside the barn, I knew there was a good reason. Can you see why?
