REUNITED:

Just a quick note, we appreciate good samaritans watching out for our fur friends. However, when in the country please note a couple things before picking up a dog.
1. Is the dog injured or in distress
2. Emaciated
Or
Could this be a livestock working dog keeping coyotes out?

The gorgeous baby was brought in by the County. Found N of Reasnor on S-74. Help us find the family.

We would like to discuss our partnership with the City of Newton regarding animal care services. Our decision to enter into this contract was motivated by our commitment to supporting local animals after the closure of the Rescue League in July 2020. With our established presence in the animal care industry, we believed this was the best way to serve our community at that time.
However, as circumstances have changed, it has become clear that our objectives are no longer aligned, despite our efforts to provide a safe haven for these animals.

We never intended to take on the responsibilities of an animal rescue league; our aim was to support our community and their pets during a difficult time. Over the years, we have taken in animals that have touched our hearts and souls.
Regardless of our efforts, we have faced criticism regarding our fees, which reflect the necessary standards every pet owner should maintain. We have also been wrongly accused of euthanizing animals for space, a practice we do not engage in. Unfortunately, the praise we receive from a few is often overshadowed by the skepticism and distrust from many. Therefore, effective October 15, 2024, we will no longer serve as the pound facility for housing stray dogs or sick/injured cats from the City of Newton.
