Major Tom - the Greyhound

In case you hadn’t guessed by now, we have decided on a name for our newest 4 legged greyhound friend, the former Timone. We will be ground control to our MAJOR TOM.

We will still call him T, T-Bone, T-Rex, Mr T and all the other names we thought of, but we both agreed when Stephanie said the name of a whippet Marty and we met last year in Quebec City!

So far, Timone’s first week has gone really well. Aside from some whining and some barking, he’s been really chill and goes back and forth between his crate, the x-pen, and either outside to potty or the kitchen to eat.

We are mostly calling him T and Timone. After he’s completed his crate training and comfortable in the rooms he’s allowed in (and furniture he’s allowed ON) and stairs, we will work on that change.

He may end up being called “Theo” (after Theo Bonk, my Mom’s best friend) with a million nicknames, kinda like how Isis was and Marty is.

In the meanwhile, T’s adjusting to snow and cold, and lets us handle him easily, and seems to like us and Marty. Big win!

Welcome to my page! T-Rex is a name in progress. When I was in Australia they called me Timone and up till yesterday I thought that would be my name. Now its a work in progress. Names Mom and Dad are discussing include T-Rex, Theo, Mr T, Timmy, Doc Brown and Fonzie. It may be one of these…
