A few of our volunteers are making wonderful sugar scrubs (for humans lol) in honor of each MRU Deputy Coroner Search Horse! Introducing Gunnr's Getaway! The scrubs will be available at the MRU horses' next public appearance at True Crime, Wine, & Equines agritourism event, Saturday, March 22nd at CR Equine & Kennel LLC, the official Training Center of the LCCO MRU. We are a 100% donation funded volunteer unit. We sincerely appreciate all the support of the MRU horses and our unit. We are working hard to build our unit strong and well trained and even though we hope we are not needed, we stand ready to serve if we are.

A huge thank you to everyone who came out for our first Meet & Greet on Saturday...a total of 47 MRU Volunteers and new Volunteer Applicants joined us to celebrate the formation of the MRU and learn about how to get involved. We are looking forward to building this historical moment, the first coroner's-office-based Mounted Response Unit in the United States with you and your horses!

It’s important to train horses that work in to do all kinds of work. Today, Kismet working Long Horns. Kismet helped move a loose steer back into the pasture who was trying to escape being loaded on a trailer. Go Kismet!
