After we established cookie and Oreo didn't have any illnesses we let them meet Twinky. These two boys were very Interested in Twinky and I think we may end up with a trio soon ;)

We have these guys and they are so sweet but scared. I'll be posting an update on them tomorrow (hopefully). They still spook when I walk in the room so I'm going to let them settle in a bit before taking pictures and interacting more with them.

Everyone meet Thumper ❤️

Thumper was surrendered to us last week. He is a super sweet 6-7 year old male Holland lop. This beautiful guy can be a bit sassy sometimes but most of the time he is a super lied back guy. He doesn't mind being held or carried around. Clipping his nails was like a dream lol. Thumper is a happy and healthy fella who will be available for adoption soon :)

The holidays are getting close so please remember Just remember if your thinking of getting a pet for your or your kids most pets are a 5+ year commitment. Remember this animal will also your your responsibility not just the kids. If your kids decided to stop taking care of the animal the animal is your responsibility. There are so many pets who get bounced from home to home, left in shelters, and abandoned because parents get pets for their kids or themselves then they get rid of them because the kids stop caring for them, they realize how much work it is, for they just don't want them anymore.

If your not 100% sure on getting a pet I highly recommend fostering for a rescue. (And yes rescues and shelters have puppies too as young as 8 weeks.) That way you can learn the responsibility of having a pet without actually having to own that pet.

Remember to do lots of research on the type of pet you plan to get. For example pet store cages are way to small for rabbits and carrots aren't that great for rabbits either because they have a lot of sugar in them.

Update on the 2 kitties we caught back in October. The grey tabby (luie) and the Siamese (sabo). Luie has come a long way. We can occasionally pet him but he is still very weary of people. We may end up trn sabo due to him showing no signs of coming around. Sabo runs from us every chance he gets and has tried to escape multiple times. We believe he will be much happier outside. If we decide to trn him we will let him back outside in the late spring early summer. I will try to get updated pictures of them but they are quick kitties lol

This is the little guy who was dropped off Sunday evening. He has a clean bill of health from the vet and is estimated to be under 6 months of age. He is a very sweet bun but is pretty scared right now. His favorite spot to hang out is on top of his little rabbit house.

*Edit, we named him Twinky*

So I've had a few people asky why I don't allow people to come to my home wether that be to drop off and animal, pick and animal up or simply volunteer. I understand wanting to know your surrendered animal is in a safe environment. I'm more than happy to send pictures and video chat.

The number 1 reason I don't give out my address is because many people drop off animals to use like we are a shelter. We are NOT a shelter. And this happens more than people think.

We just had a rabbit dropped off on our porch in a box. The dogs we outside going crazy and when I went to go look out front there was a small cardboard box stuffed with hay with a rabbit inside. There was a note with a little info about the bun. Unfortunately we don't have cameras set up at our house yet so have no leads on who did it.

Please NEVER leave an animal at a shelter or rescue without them agreeing to take them. They may not have the resources to take them or the finances.

I will do an update this week on how the bun is doing.

The rescue kittens just got their own bedroom to run around and play in. I will post pictures soon :)
