Amanda and Terri got the call yesterday from Islip Animal Shelter. A 10+ year old Shih Tzu had been dumped on the property of the shelter in the snow storm. He was so badly matted he couldn't walk! Obviously, we went to shave him down and clean him up. He's getting medical care from the shelter now that they can find his skin to draw blood, etc. Terri was calling him Franklin. If you're interested in more info on this little guy, give a follow, so when he's posted for adoption, you can fill out an adoption form! I can't express how sweet, loving and appreciative this little gentleman was to have all that hair removed. We put a cute little sweater on him since he's now shaved down and gave him lots of blankets.

In the last 30 days we've lost a bunch of pets. Terri lost her 19 year old cat named Missy. We found out that 'Marney' passed away a few weeks ago (fluff ball pictured). Yesterday, we found out the 'Pepper' (not pictured in this post) passed away, and today we found out that 'Charlie Brown' passed away. They will never be forgotten. Too many gone in such a short time. Our hearts go out to all the families who have lost their pets. 💙💛

So, with my birthday and finding out about Baxter's passing, I completely forgot to post this. It's been about a month now...
I have groomed Souri every 2 weeks like clockwork for the past 3 years. Due to her mom needing surgeries, she felt she could no longer give Souri the life she deserves. So.... I took her.

When I say we love your pets as much as you... we mean it. We cry when they pass away, are heartbroken when they get hurt or are ill, and we develop a bond much like you do with them. I knew this girl would have a hard time leaving her mom and felt it was best for her to go to someone she knew. She had a hard first 2 weeks here while she realized she wasn't going "home," but she's making strides every day. She gets along great with my pack and the cats and is getting used to being "alone" while I'm at work. 💙💛

Miss Raven got her pre-bath blow out yesterday. This Spunky old lady is a new Bizcuts Family member. Mocha has a typical Chihuahua attitude and I love her to death. No... that isn't sarcasm. I enjoy working with scared dogs. It gives me great joy to show them patience and compassion and that grooming really isn't all that scary. This was her 2nd go around at putting a muzzle on. We took it off to do her head, ears and face but she was not having the scissors on her legs. So again we argued over whether it was going on or not. ° ° We added the hemostats to the end of the muzzle so that Amanda wouldn't get injured helping me. I also ALWAYS check for a purple tongue. If the tongue starts turning purple the dog is too stressed so we stop and give them a break, and then re-evaluate the situation to see if we should continue. #bizcutsfamily #doggrooming #investinyourdogswellbeing #happydog #healthydog #spunky #oldlady #chihuahua
