Hey today is the 10th - International Assistance Dog Week. There are a multitude of Assistance Dogs out there.
Guide Dog: A dog that guides individuals who are blind or visually impaired. The presence of a dog for protection, personal defense, or comfort does not qualify that dog as a guide dog.
Hearing Dog: A dog that alerts individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing to specific sounds. The presence of a dog for protection, personal defense, or comfort does not qualify that dog as a hearing dog.
Service Dog: A dog that works for individuals with disabilities other than blindness or deafness. Service dogs are trained to perform a wide variety of tasks including but not limited to; pulling a wheelchair, bracing, retrieving, alerting to a medical crisis, and providing assistance in a medical crisis.

Hey dogs are not the only ones who suffer from a**l gland issues. Their human counterparts sometimes have to deal with the nasty smell and scooting on the nice carpet! While we don't recommend getting a**l glands done unless your dog absolutely needs it we can externally express them. We highly recommend not getting them done because the more they are manually expressed the weaker the glands get. A**l glands are supposed to be expressed when your dog goes number 2. If your dogs stool is too soft that can cause a**l gland issues. It can also mean you're feeding your dog too much food or that your dog has a sensitivity. Contact your Veterinarian to help figure out what could be going on.
