Happy 9th Birthday to Chanel! It’s been quite a journey and I have loved every step with her. Chanel is hands down the smartest and most stubbornly determined dog I’ve ever had and, as a consequence, sharing a home with her has had its challenges, but I would not have it any other way. From her gobbling 10 pounds of raw chicken thawing in the kitchen sink, to breaking a large screen TV to get to a toy put up in a cabinet sitting behind it, then sneaking a prescription drug bottle out of my purse and scattering pills all over the carpet (which last feat earned her several doses of peroxide to bring up any she may have swallowed), life with Chanel has never been dull!!

She is also a fantastic companion, loyal to the bone and a world-class cuddler. Chanel is the QUEEN of the house and, with her competition days behind her for the most part, Chanel now spends her days keeping the other dogs in their place and romping around with her 4-month old grandson, Versace.

In honor of Chanel's 9th BIRTHDAY today, I thought I would share some of my favorite photos of her. I apologize upfront for the quantity....I have so many!
