🐾💕 Meet Emery 💕🐾

Hi there, I’m Emery!

I’m a sweet and loyal 1.5-year-old mixed-breed girl and am about 42 lbs. I’m pretty sure my life purpose is to be snuggly with my humans and give them endless kisses. I may be a little shy when we first meet and may take a little more time to warm up to men, but I really love human attention.

I’m living with another foster dog and we love to play. I like durable chew toys and puzzle toys. I would like a home with another friendly and playful dog or where someone is home most of the time. I do love human attention so my future fur sibling will need to be ok with that. I’m not sure about cats because I’ve never met one! 🐱

I walk well on a leash (though I will try to chase a squirrel) and am always eager to meet the other friendly dogs I see. I’m potty trained and know how to ring the bells hanging from the door. I know sit, shake, down, and am very food motivated.

I would love a fenced yard to run & play. I do enjoy going outside to look around and sunbathe, so I hope my forever home will at least have an enclosed lanai. I do bark at times, so no shared walls (no apartment, townhome, etc.).

PRAYER WARRIORS: 10 pm update - Just 9 weeks old, weighing less than 4 pounds, and fighting for his life.

Someone heartlessly threw him away in a dumpster. He was brought to a kill shelter, where he was placed on the euthanasia list almost immediately. The moment we saw his photo, we knew we couldn’t leave him there. Now he is in the ICU at the Animal Emergency and Surgical Center, clinging to life with every tiny breath.

$8,000 /save his life. Thats the estimate.

His Medical Care Includes:
Oxygen therapy and intensive hospitalization
IV catheters, fluids, and medication around the clock
X-rays, bloodwork, and repeat injections
Antibiotics, nebulizer treatments, and daily nursing care

This is not a bill anyone is ever ready for—but we believe in faith in action. We know we can find a way, because together we always do.

Our sweet little fighter ❤️‍🩹
His new name is Bento
Just like a little bento box full of little surprises, this little puppy is full of surprises too. He wants to fight, he wants to live, he wants to get well and play like a puppy should play and give a love back to all the ones that are loving him now. It’s only fair we fight with him.

This sweet boy has survived what no soul should. He was thrown away like trash, found in a dumpster - but today — he’s being given a chance.

Thanks to your voices and prayers— and after we raced to pick him up and get him to an emergency vet this morning, he is still hanging in there and choosing to fight

At this time he has an IV placed, getting fluids, slowly being fed( because remember keep in mind he had rocks in his belly and his stools) so real food has got to taste delicious.

He is also in an oxygen chamber due to him having some struggling breathing issues. That alone is $600 a day We are working through everything, and he’wing to fight so please help if you can he deserves that

In a few hours, we’re going to be taking more x-rays, more diagnostics, getting him up on any needed antibiotics, helping him with any intestinal worms, and just trying to get him through the night.

He does have a grade 3 heart murmur. Which is very concerning. But As long as he is willing to fight, we are willing to fight with him.

With that being said, we need everyone’s love to support him through this journey.

💔We wonder if this pretty girl understands no one is coming for her? After 13 yrs, of loyalty and love, she is an orphan…a beautiful girl, in a sea of lost souls waiting for another chance!💔

🙏💔Yes, you read it right, VALERIE, is a golden girl with the pretty face and spirit of a pup 🐶, half her age! The story goes, when the person who found her tried to call the owner, they were deceased! Does it sound suspicious, maybe, but after all the BS stories we hear, we don’t trust humans much! VALERIE is certainly not devastated, and her body shows signs of some neglect so maybe it’s best she found her way to the shelter! 🙏

❤️❤️VALERIE is a volunteer favorite! She gets so dang excited to be with her friends and go for a walk, it’s infectious! ❤️❤️ Recently, she went on a weekend getaway with a volunteer and she got 5-STARS for being an amazing guest!⭐️

❤️🙌🏻Here’s the exemplary report card:

“VALERIE is a 100% delight! She gets so excited for car rides, she would love to ride shotgun, but gleefully explored the world from the backseat!”

“Pay no mind to her age, she has more pep than me; was a gem 💎 on her leash and greeted all humans and pups with a warm smile and a friendly tail wag!”

“VALERIE was just a perfect lady on a pet store adventure; we gave her a her a little spa treat 🛀 and she even did a zoomie afterwards!”

❤️VALERIE never jumped on furniture, unless invited, and chose to sleep next to the bed, snoozing the night away! She is very house trained, ignored our grumpy cat 😾 and was unphased meeting our pup through a baby gate!🐶

❤️Her favorite spot was out in the backyard, watching squirrels 🐿️ and birds 🐦, it was wonderful to see her enjoying the simplicity of it!🙏 **The volunteer went on and on, and on about her..🤣…so we will just wrap it up with an overall grade of A++

❤️Wowza!❤️ Although none of us are surprised by this glowing report, we are so grateful she was able to feel some comfort and peace for the weekend!❤️

HEY! Murray here! Someone needs to call the Ripley's people because I think I am the record holder for the LONGEST RESIDENT DOG AT AN OPEN INTAKE COUNTY FACILITY!!!

OVER 8 years!!!

I WANT MY TROPHY!
I WANT MY PARADE!
Not really, I just want a home.

I have some picadillos that we may need to work through together... I'm so used to being my own boss while in my own jail cell that I'm not a fan of sharing my space or my stuff with other dogs. Really, I just don't know how or why I should have to learn at this stage of my life?

If I was a human I would be an excentric guy who only wears socks twice and has to whistle Dixie before taking the perfect bubble bath. But I am a dog, and simply put I JUST NEED TO FEEL SAFE in a happy and chill home.

UP TO THE CHALLENGE?

I do go to the play area with other dogs but don't ask me to share my food, bed, or toys with people. I never learned how to share and don't really feel like starting at this juncture.

You ALL know that one guy who you can see never getting married or having a big family. Well that's me, and that's ok cuz there's lots of us out there.

I'm not weird, I just never learned like some other pups! I don't want or need a bunch of friends, one or too is just fine by me.

8 years! Are you wondering how? Well, when I was a puppy my family gave me up and the Bishop SPCA took me in and NEVER networked me or helped find me a home. I was never in a home to be taught what to do, so I learned on my own...ALL ON MY OWN.

Now I have lots of volunteers that love me, take me out and give me love....but I still don't have a home.

MY NEEDS:
QUIET HOME with not a lot of people traffic in and out is SUPER IMPORTANT
TIME to decompress from my life-long prison sentence.
UNDERSTANDING, considering what I have been through.
