"Dogs vs. Humans: Who Recovers Faster from Losing a Limb?" 🐶💪

If a human loses a limb, the recovery process can take months to years with physical therapy, prosthetics, and major lifestyle adjustments. But dogs? They’re basically superheroes. 🦸‍♂️🐾

Fun Fact: Most dogs start walking on three legs within DAYS of amputation! 😲

First 24-48 hours: Some wobbling, adjusting to balance.

1 Week: Walking confidently, maybe even running!

2-3 Weeks: Full adaptation, back to zoomies as if nothing happened. Rear limb amputees often. achieving near normal movement!

❗️Yes❗️ a business can ask a service dog to leave if the dog is causing a disturbance. Under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), businesses must allow service dogs to accompany their handlers in public places. However, there are TWO valid reasons a business can ask a service dog to leave:

1. The dog is out of control, and the handler does not take action to control it.

Example: Excessive barking, lunging at people, or jumping on tables.

2. The dog is not housebroken (i.e., having accidents indoors).

A Business IS ALLOWED TO:

✅️Is the service dog required because of a disability
✅️What work or task has the dog been trained to perform

What Businesses CANNOT DO:

❌ Ask for proof or certification of the service dog
❌ Deny entry based on breed or size
❌ Ask the handler about their disability
❌️ Ask for a demonstration
❌️ Deny entry because staff or clients are afraid or allergic
❌️ Apply breed restrictions
❌️ Apply pet policy

If a service dog is causing a disturbance, staff MUST FIRST ask the handler to take corrective action. If the behavior continues, the business has the right to ask the dog to leave.

If a business asks a service dog to leave, they must still allow the handler to remain and receive service.
