Rainbow Rescue

Rainbow Rescue Privately owned, funded and operated. Animal Rescue - I am a voice for the voiceless! Over 25 yrs. experience of animal rescue, over 18 yrs.

Mostly Exotic Reptiles who come from abused & neglected homes (get them rehabilitated then find forever loving homes, but some do end up becoming pets). Experienced with all sorts of animals from Exotic and domestic cats/kittens, ferrets, Rabbits, Iguanas, Bearded Dragons, all sorts of fish, all breeds of dogs from small to extra large, snakes.....again just about any type of animals there is. exp

erience of Iguana and other Exotic Reptiles. Currently, I am not doing the reptile part, I've decided to not do the reptile care again until I get moved. However, if there is an Iguana or Bearded Dragon that is in really bad shape and I know I might be their only hope to live, I will take them. I am however taking care of a colony of feral's who have all been spayed and neutered. I was 14 years old and it was during Hurricane Fran that I decided I wanted to own a small rescue. I saved a 8 month old Siberian Husky named Apollo who was being chained up in a yard with no shelter. I asked my foster mother if I could please go get him, she told me yes so I went down to the person's house, knocked on their door and asked them to please let me have him, he did not deserve to be chained up with no shelter during the storm. To my surprise the person just gave him up. They gave me his papers and let me take him. When I walked into the yard where Apollo was chained his eyes lit up as if I was an angel. It was like he knew I had come to save him. There was no food or water bowls. Apollo was filthy and so emaciated his ribs were showing. When I took Apollo home it was then that I told my foster mother that I was going to own a small rescue and it would be called Rainbow Rescue.

Bun Dad - I really don't feel great about bringing this up again but we are beyond distraught. Snowball has yet another lump - which means another tumor. He has an aggressive form of cancer. Any emergence of a lump will be cancer & MUST be removed . We are fighting hard for him facing a very difficult battle.

We started this fundraiser to get our bunnies the care they need for issues they have going on. Unfortunately because of more urgent sicknesses that have come up the money has been used for these dire situations to care for our beloved bunnies.

Snowball along with Willow (who has become immobile) are both going to the vet Monday. Both will need refills on their Metacam. This visit alone will probably run around $250. That's before I push for an additional medication that many people have recommended in combination with the Metacam based on their personal experiences with their bunnies. Based on the Metacam cost I can only guess that if prescribed that will be around an additional $100 that can be added to that cost.

Then there is going to be another cancer surgery for Snowball. That will run around another $430. We are looking to try to raise $800 right now to cover these immediate care cost we are facing. I know this is a time of the year where people are doing their holiday shopping. I'm hoping & praying people will feel spirit of this holiday & can help. As of this moment we have 1866 followers. If only 25%, 466 people donate just $2 we would actually get a little past this immediate goal. Please donate if you can. Please share where allowed. Please continue to pray for Snowball. He is in a literal fight for his life right now. There is no other way to put it. We love him so much & want to do everything we can for our sweet precious boy.
