Gypsy is being exposed to so many new things and she is killing it, making her foster mom and dad so proud!!!
Somebody is going to be so lucky to have this beautiful, petite classic shepherd in their life!!

If you don’t think this is the sweetest looking dog you have ever seen in your life, then you better make an appointment with your doctor to find out if you have a heart!!!
Max is available for adoption!!

GOOD GOLLY MISS MOLLY is feeling pretty frisky these days. This is what happens when you open your heart to a senior dog in need!!! You go Molly!!!!
This video shows what a great dog Max is. He has already learned the dog door, and you can see how little interest he has in the resident cat!
I think Element puppy, Zinc has a crush on her foster brother Trooper. Zinc is such a great puppy. Her temperament is amazing!!!!
Don’t wait to put in your app for these precious babies!!! They’ll be available very soon!!!!

This big old goofball of a dog is so close to perfection it’s scary!! He’s just over two years old and is big dog friendly, little dog friendly, and GOOD WITH CATS!! And as you can see in the video, he’s pretty darn talented when it comes to tennis balls. He will bring them back to you all day long to throw again and again and again. And if anybody can explain to me why he is still homeless, I’m all ears!!!#
Sweet gypsy. Our most improved player. She has been through basic obedience and this dog is smarter than a lot of people. She’s got energy for days, and would be the perfect dog to do dog sports with. She is still a baby at under 2 yrs old
🎶Her name is Lola. She’s not a show girl 🎶
But she’s pretty enough to be one. So smart and loyal. We know her perfect home is out there.
Today we learned that Lenny likes to run through the sprinkler on a hot day! He is such a good boy and so low maintenance. I don’t know why he still doesn’t have a home!!
It’s too hot to do anything outside this afternoon, so we are hanging out in the house making sure we remember our house manners so when our dogs get adopted, they are not completely crazy living inside the house. Skye is amazing in the house. She’s house trained. She doesn’t need to be crated. She’s very low maintenance and she is available for adoption.
Miss Lola walked with Asher and Trooper today. She would do just fine in a home with a well-behaved male dog.
Happy National German Shepherd Day!
We love our loyal, intelligent, loving goofballs so much. Thank you to everyone who has helped us to educate the community on this magnificent breed.
We wouldn’t be who we are today without all the GSDs that have touched our lives.
Please consider donating to Shari’s Shepherd Sanctuary in honor of GSDs everywhere.
Your donations allow us to continue to rescue GSDs in our community and help them find their perfect families.
Thank you! Give your GSDs a kiss from us.
We have the most amazing dogs with skills for days. Today Lobo showed us his ability to carry 2 balls at once. We are working on getting that 3rd ball in his mouth!!!
He is still available for adoption and we’re not sure why. If you’re thinking about getting an amazing dog Lobo is your guy!!!
It’s getting warm and finding things to do with the dogs gets challenging as the temperature rises.
Our two floofy girls out for a walk together today. They are both such happy dogs!!! I can’t believe either of them are still homeless!!! #sharisshepherdsanctuary
Gypsy, our MVP, is becoming the most amazing, well balanced dog!!! On top of that she is the epitome of a classic looking shepherd!! She will excel in any dog sport and she is rocket fast!! Why she is still homeless is a complete mystery!!!
Whenever we have puppies come into the rescue, we always make sure to have them spend time with social, well-balanced, adult dogs. Sometimes I think Ranger likes to show off for his houseguests. But it doesn’t look like a little Annie Oakley is too impressed.
One thing we can do while we work through Bronco’s severe anxiety is to help Bronco re-learn how to just be a dog by spending some time walking with a couple of balanced, confident and social dogs.
Our most improved player, 18 month old Gypsy, got to go on a field trip too House of Paws Las Vegas this morning. For a dog who never left her backyard for the first 13 months of her life she did exceptionally well! She’s curious and a little skittish, but overall she was amazing. And she is probably the first dog in history to refuse every single treat she was offered from Meghan, the owner of the store. And she has taken it as a personal challenge to find out what treat Gypsy cannot refuse!!! We could not be more proud of this girl!!!
