‼️Welcome Daisy and her two puppies to the FDAR family. Thank you Jacqueline for fostering this sweet family… Daisy was living in a car with her homeless family, when they found that she had puppies. The puppies were surrendered to our rescue, but when mama Daisy is ready, we will get her spayed, up-to-date on shots, microchipped, and we will give her back to her owner. Look out for updated photos and when they will be ready for adoption…‼️ any donations are very much appreciated. Check out our wish list in comments,.

So true…its been rough out there 😢

The unfortunate truth of owning and running a dog rescue .
Running a dog rescue is really hard.
What they don’t tell you is that it can cause severe stress and anxiety, and drains you mentally to the point of depression in even the most laid-back people.
People will talk about you, compare you to others, use you, they will view you as a service and not a person anymore.
Friends and family will expect favor’s and people will value you and your hard work less than a big chain store.
You have to worry about if you forget to email/message someone back, are they going to think it was on purpose? Did you disappoint them? Will they hold that against you? When in reality you just can’t get to everyone’s messages and emails.
Starting up and running a successful dog rescue puts incredible strain on personal lives and relationships, many of which fail because there is just often no work life balance. All whilst being a parent, a husband or a wife, family support, friend...
There’s a reason you don’t see many people succeed in dog rescue after 5-10 years. If they are successful they are overwhelmed. It takes a toll. It’s freaking exhausting. Especially the past couple of years when so much has been out of our control.
Here’s a small reminder that we are just normal people with hectic lives. Be kind, be patient, support small dog rescues …….and hopefully more of us will stick around!

Remember Mama Cali!! She was found abandoned in the streets? A good Samaritan picked her up, took her home found out that she was pregnant. She had 11 babies…. Here they all are today, (except 2 puppies still available) in beautiful loving homes… thanks to John and his two sons for being troopers and fostering all these puppies… now lucky Cali, gets to be part of their family forever… including one of her puppies 🥰❤️

‼️‼️ When rescues pull these senior, dogs that are on the transfer list we usually expect that it will be quite expensive for their vet care. These two have already cost the rescue over $2,200….

⭐️ Mitzzy’s ⭐️ Vet bill alone was almost $1,200 this was just so that we could get her spayed, bloodwork, x-rays, and get her a dental that she much needed.

☄️ Lenny ☄️was taken to emergency the day after we pulled him from the Animal Foundation. Between the ER and our regular vet it has already cost the rescue$1,000, he will still need a dental which he is scheduled for in a couple of weeks . Lenny will also be on heart medication throughout his life. We can only continue to help with these cases with your support. So please donate if you can and please share… thank you for your support in advance…

She is home from the hospital and getting comfortable with her foster mom. Thank you Paws Patrol LV for helping this sweet girl 🥰

‼️‼️Please pray for Lenny‼️‼️ This poor little guy was pulled yesterday from the Animal Foundation. He has so many more things wrong with him than what we had originally thought. But that’s OK. He had to be rushed to the ER tonight. Look who busted out of jail… Mitzzy and Blue! Both are 12 years old. Their owner unfortunately ended up in a nursing home and the family dumped them at the Animal Foundation. They are safe now and need a lot of vet care. If you can help towards their vet care, it would be much appreciated. Please donate if you can if not, please share. Thank you. Scooter came to us in a condition that we wish not to elaborate on.. but with the loving care that his foster has given him, and the vet care he has received, the next step was to get him a custom wheelchair (he is paralyzed) so he can live his life to his fullest.
