Good morning Paws and Peeps family, Please be advised that we in Lawrence are having a good amount of coyote sightings. Here are some tips on how to keep your dogs safe.

1. Keep dogs on a leash

2. Avoid dawn and dusk: Coyotes are most active at dawn and dusk, so try to avoid walking your dog during these times.

3.Keep dogs indoors at night: Keep your dog inside at night or supervise them if they're outside.

4. Feed pets indoors: Don't leave food out for your pets, as this can attract coyotes.

5. Clean up pet waste as it will attract coyotes

6. Spay or neuter your dog: Spaying or neutering your dog can help prevent interbreeding with coyotes.

7. if you see one act large and loud: When a coyote is nearby, act large and loud to deter it. Bring something simple like a can filled with coins to shake on nightly walks.

8. If you have outdoor cats bring them in at night!
