Good thing we both really enjoy hard work!
But really, nights like this bonding over some hard labor, smelling like dog p*e, bleeding all over while power washing kennels, and driving around trying to find somewhere to stitch me up🤣
I wouldn’t trade it! So happy we embarked on this journey. We make one heck of a team, and I’m excited to see where things are in a year!

Here at Uptown Bark we are well aware of the current K-9 Respiratory Infection! We started taking extra precautions over a week ago, including limiting dog to dog contact, and disinfecting EVERYTHING in between each groom, and our boarding area, with Kennel Sol. While we haven’t seen many cases here in Utah yet, it’s best to be prepared, and a source of mine from a local clinic has said Steroid treatments are working very well.

While the media can be scary, please understand dogs are much like us. There is a new dog influenza, there are also 40 different strains of kennel cough, and new variants each year. This year is no different. These symptoms can all be very similar.

Maintaining proper up to date vaccinations, especially for senior pets and those with comorbidities, such as diabetes and cancer, can make a huge difference when sick season approaches!

We are committed to the health and safety of everyone’s furbabies, so to limit the spread of ANY illness, please cancel your reservation or appointment if your dog is experiencing any of the following symptoms:
**coughing, sneezing, lethargy, &/or nasal/eye discharge**

You know your pets best, so if you are concerned at all about abnormal symptoms or behavior please keep them home! We will continue to do our very best to keep all our sweet babies safe and healthy!!

Hula girl was a regular of mine until they had to move a year ago. I was thrilled when her mom said they were in town and asked if I could get her in. Heck YES!! I was so happy to see her today🥰

This makes it all worth it!! Hulk came in Saturday to board for a week. He was very aggressive and no one could go near him or he’d lunge at you😳 AJ is our head kennel tech, and quite the animal whisperer. He made it his mission to win Hulk over. Sure enough, not even a day later and they are snuggling! Hulk is so happy and playful now. My heart just melts with these type of situations🥰❤️ @atien321

Kitties can be extremely dangerous to groom. Not only because they are unpredictable and not easily trained like a dog, but because their bites and scratches are far more likely to cause infection, and can even lead to death from infection! Not all groomers will do cats. We are so lucky to have Ashley who is not only super talented, but patient, and careful! Tools like these are very useful to keep both the groomer and kitty safe.
