One of our boarders recently found a phone in the field and we think it may belong to a competitor or visitor from one of our horse trials. It’s a Samsung and pretty beat up but still turns on after weeks in the mud.

Giving Tuesday 2024 is December 3. Each year, 𝙏𝙝𝙚 𝙀𝙦𝙪𝙞𝙚𝙧𝙮 shares the messages and needs from some of Maryland's 501 (c)(3) non-profits. You don't have to wait until to donate.

The Waredaca Eventing Education Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit founded to support eventing education at Waredaca Farm. The Foundation’s first project was the creation of The Jimmy Wofford Legacy Fund to promote eventing education, which will reward at least one adult amateur and one junior who intend to train and compete in a Classic Three-Day Event.

Our vision is for this to be an ongoing, perpetual scholarship that will honor Jimmy and keep the spirit of the Three-Day long format.

Jimmy was a strong supporter of the long format in general, and our Waredaca Classic Three Day, in particular. He was a regular presence at our monthly Expert Days. We are thrilled that Jimmy’s family has given their enthusiastic blessing to this effort.

WEEF was created to support eventing education at Waredaca – from our Pony Club to the Jimmy Wofford Legacy Fund, our educational Classic Three-Day, and more!! We are determined to continue this important work to promote eventing education and are passionate about supporting the people and horses who make it the challenging, exciting sport that it is. Allison is a five-star event rider who has represented the United States at the highest levels of international competition.
